I know a few people have been talking about Corman's movies.  Amazon has a few of them on sale right now.  I have no idea how long the sale lasts.

I'm thinking of getting Forbidden World on Blu..it sounds really interesting.

All of them are already bought or pre-ordered at amazon canada. But thanks for the announcement, since even at the regular price (who isn't that high) they really worth it

I wouldn't talk about the collection as much if it wasn't a great one ;D

Edit : Everything I heard about Forbidden World is positive and I think you would appreciate Galaxy of Terror also. Plus you will get a bonus if you get them, you will have the possibility of teasing me since I can't watch them untill october...

Dragonfire

I have been considering Galaxy of Terror too.

SailorRipley

It's Forbidden World, Galaxy of Terror and Humanoids From the Deep for me!  :tv:

Jimmy

Humanoids From the Deep will be at my home soon, since it will be ship tomorrow with Death Sport / Battle Truck (Piranah is also part of this order, but it will be released later in august here in Canada). Not that it changed anything since I won't be at home anyway when they will arrived....

Dragonfire

I just ordered Forbidden World on Blu.

Achim

I would order Forbidden World (on Blu), b ut I am trying not to buy anything in July and August (...and I already made one purchase  :-[).

I am on vacation end of the month, so anything arriving then will be useless for a few weeks. Instead I will place a big order during my vacation (gotta make up for the loist 2 months... :bag: ) so that the stuff can be here around the same time I return.

Jimmy

Check well if you want to order them on blu-ray Achim, I'm not sure they are region free or all region (don't know how it works for the BR). Shout! Factory own the rights in America and another company own them in Europe, just don't want to see you spend your money on something useless for you.

That's one of the reason why it sucks that the HDDVD wasn't the winning Hi-def format since they were region free :(

No problem for me. Taiwan (where I bought my PS3) is Region A, same to the US. It's actually trouble for me to buy stuff in Germany or the UK, as they are Region B and the PS3 is indeed not region free (there are other players that are region free though).

I have one UK Blu-ray which is labeled as region free, yet they play some PAL trailers before the movie. While standalone player can deal with this, the PS3 can't, so I haven't seen that film yet; a US release is not yet announced.

You could get a region free Blu-ray player. That's what I did, so no region worries for me.

Just watched the trailer for Humanoids From the Deeps on another of my disc tonight and if the trailer is honest that could be the best movie ever made with water mutant creature :drooling:

It sucks that I've to wait october to watch it :weep:

What brand/model are you using?

At DVD Beaver they discuss a Momitsu as well as a Sherwood, but also some firmware issues...

I have a Panasonic DMP-BD30. Today I guess it has been superseded by BD60 or BD80. I'm very pleased with it, though. It doesn't have BD-Live, but it's not something I miss.
Oppo BDP-83 is supposed to be the top-of-the-line region free player, but it costs about twice as much as a Panny, at least over here...

Thanks.

I use a PS3, buit was curious how the region free market had developed.

BD-Live... I have used it for the trivia feed while listening to the audio commentary twice now, but normally don't even bother to check what they offer. Worst is, many distributor want you to open an account and then log in from each disc. Seems too much hassle for me.
