I don't know the comics.
What I know about this is only what I have read here.

We are going this weekend to see this one. I prefer going to matinees... and Brittany has the SATs on Saturday... so looking like Sunday.

I haven't seen it yet, but:
Could it be the villain from Captain America, played by Hugo Weaving?
Karsten hasn't seen the film. Otherwise he would have guessed that the situation of what we see would not allow it to be what he guessed.

Dragonfire

I saw it today and loved it.  There is good balance for all the characters, lots of action, a decent story, and....no freaking shaky camera work.  I could tell who was who and what was happening in the action scenes.  Wonderful. :)  I thought there was good use of humor in the movie too.  Tony gets several lines that I thought were funny - Shakespeare in the Park cracked me up.  I see Whedon in a lot of the dialogue.  I think it worked really well for the movie.
I have no clue who that red face guy is.  I figured he was some big bad guy and something is being set up for another movie, but I didn't know what.  I even though to myself after the scene was over, who the hell was that?
It's a great movie..definitely worth seeing on the big screen.  I saw the normal version, so I have no idea about the 3D.  I did read that it was 3D conversion after the filming was done.

I'm sure I'll be seeing it again in the theater and I'm definitely getting the Blu-ray.  I've already read that the first cut of the movie was like 30 minutes longer and that extra footage will be on the DVD/Blu-ray.

Mark Ruffalo is fine as Bruce...but I did miss Norton in the part.

Seeing how good this is makes me wish that the Wonder Woman movie Whedon was going to make hadn't fallen through.  Though if he had made that one, he may not have been able to make this one.  It wouldn't have been the same with a different director.  Yes it could still be a really good movie, but it wouldn't have his touch that comes out in little things here and there that I loved.

There was one particular brief moment where I was taken out of the movie because suddenly it was all close-ups and I even lost track of location in that scene. But this was in an earlier action scene, not the final battle. Strange though how that moment felt completely out of place.

I didn't notice that.  Hmmm....maybe I'll notice when I see it again.

Tom

I have plans to watch it again next week :)

Dragonfire

I don't know when I'll see it again yet, but I definitely want to.

I feel a little ripped off... stayed through the entire end-credits, and didn't get the second stinger.  :(
I guess I'll see it when I get the Blu-ray (or someone uploads it to YouTube).
