Okay, I will out myself: I like warm and hot weather. I like to go to a lake and lie in the sun. And then go to a nice swim to cool down in-between.
What I like about cold weather on the other hand: I don't feel bad when staying in to watch a movie.

I to have hay fever :p I think its fairly common... I have no clue what exact pollen im allergic to I just know its tree pollen not grass pollen.

...Not allergic to animals, which a good thing I guess Smiley

I also hear that people who are alergic to animals are not allergic to the fur but to the liquid the animals secrete into their fur :p

Allergies are caused by protein. You're right, Emma, it isn't the fur as such, but it's easier to explain.

I have Hay Fever too ... but nowhere as bad as you Jon! It's only 2 types - one that blooms in spring, the other in late summer until first ground freeze.

I'm also lightly allergic to dogs. But it's very light - I can spend a full with dogs and not have a problem, except a stuffy nose at the end of the day.

I'm like that with dogs and I'd have no problem owning a dog. It's all about timing. We used to always keep rabbits and I could easily hold one for about two minutes, but any longer I'd be in danger of a nasty attack. Cats are instant and vicious reactions.

The weird thing is I can get a degree of control using milk or ice-cream! If I feel an attack coming, a glass of milk can stop it. If it's already there, it can at least soothe it. I came across it a few years ago after meeting a guy who was violently allergic to fish. Milk was his antidote and I realised then how I always craved cool drinks while suffering, but never tried milk specifically.

I don't mind cold weather, but love the rain.
So it's a good thing you live in England Grin

I can really watch a good Christmas movie any time of the year... the only problem is there are so few of them that I actually consider 'good'.

And as far as how much we like temperatures well, I am a winter girl. In Summer here it can get up to (and over) 45C (113F). On days like that it is just too hot to do anything, it's horrible, and often we have power outages from everybody overusing their air conditioners. Which means we end up going hours at a time without any cooling. Summer also means bugs and lots of them, Mozzies everywhere, flies, Huntsman spiders getting into your house. Also, no mater what you do in Summer you somtimes just can't get cool, I mean there are only so many layers of clothing you can take off, and even then you are stuck with your skin. In winter however it seems there is always more layers you can put on.

There are some parts I like about Summer, such as the sun being out for longer, and camping with friends and going to the beach etc but in the end I just love the cold comfort of winter. Curling up in a nice warm bed on a freezing night is the best. In Summer I usually just roll around on my sheets all night too hot to even sleep.

I don't like it when it is freezing cold and I don't like it really hot either.  I like it most around like 70..but we rarely have those days anymore.

It was close to 95 and horribly humid here today.  Instant sauna outside.  bleck.  I hate to leave the house.  Even in stores I'm usually uncomfortable because they are too warm for me...especially if there are a lot of people there.

I have allergies too.  I don't know what I'm allergic too..but I get sneezing fits that drive me nuts.

I actually have come to appreciate the climate in Germany. The heat in summer is mostly dry, si it is bearable and usually 35°C tops. In winder it can get as low is -15°C (lower, too, but that's exceptional) which is also not too bad, since we have central heating everywhere and when you go outside you simply dress appropriately.

Ever since I moved to Taiwan it's all upside down for me. After 13 years of living here I now get cold when the temperature gets below 10°C, down to 5°C; mostly due to the lack of heating systems in homes. In summer it gets also up to around 35°C only (so in overall nopt es much of a span as back home), but it is incredibly humid with that. Basically I start sweating again once I finish drying myself off after a shower Heat Sure, there is air conditioning in most places, but they use them "American style", so it's usually much too cold inside Slap my head With climate shifting it has become better over the last few years, with winter being more around 10°C, but summers unchanged.

As for movies, I guess I wouldn't mind watching somethig that's merely Christmas themed (e.g. Home Alone), but would prefer the ones that "spread the mood" to be closer to the season (e.g. It's a Wonderful Life).

A good compromise would be Christmas in July by Preston Sturges! Great little comedy... Thumb up !

I thought it lacked a certain charm the first had. I gave the first 3.5/5 and this one 2.5/5. Not seen the third myself.
