Christmas Movies in Summer

Does anyone else have no problem watching Christmas movies in June? This tends to be when I buy them because they are so cheap this time of year and I just watched Surviving Christmas and have Santa Clause 2 lined up. Strangely I don't really watch Christmas movies at Christmas

I can't watch them unless its almost Christmas... I get kind of bored... although I admit I do buy them now.

I watch a movie when I feel like it. I never consider any holidays or seasons. This is why I never restricted myself to Christmas movies when we did Christmas marathons here.

Since we only have 5 months without snow here I ain't to interested to see it for those few months and christmass movie fit in this, not that I really watch christmass movie anyway, too sugary and boring to me (of course they are exceptions like Silent Night Deadly Night or Christmas Evil).

I'm not a big fan of Christmas movies to begin with - but if it could bring winter back faster, I'd be binging on them the whole summer!

I see - I suppose -20°C in Canada is much more comfortable than -2°C in Germany! At least I can confirm this for Norway/Narvik

Actually, -20°C pretty darn cold.. I'm exaggerating a little ... but I do prefer lower temperature. I can't stand heat.

Even now in the office, the air conditioning is set at 23°C ... I need a fan at that temperature else I get all sweaty. And air conditioning dries up the air!

So imagine at 30°C with 80%+ humidity

(right now it's 26°C at 37% humidity outside - so it's probably not too bad.. though I do much prefer my usual 18°C in the basement!)

Me too! I don't mind the bitter cold, actually I love it. I can always layer up and get toasty warm but I like the nip in the air.

But, once the hot gets here I just don't feel as alive. It drags me down and makes me tired. I don't like air conditioners, being by the lake does make the nights wonderful. During the day though, I'm tired of dunking my head in cold water, sitting in front of the fan and becoming a human swamp cooler. The only plus I can think of is being able to run around in my birthday suit to stay cooler!

We do not have any air condition in our office. The average temp today was about 25° and some colleagues in our IT dpt. have a problem with fresh air - they refuse to open a window...

I agree... I never could stand the heat either. It is in the mid 90s (degrees) here today and it is terrible!

As for the topic. I tend to save them for December. But if the mood hit I would watch it anytime.

I too prefer the cold weather :p atleast when its cold you can just put more layers on.... when Its too hot I believe there is a rule about taking layers off

I don't mind cold weather, but love the rain. Part of the reason is I get Hay Fever, but I say that as a catch all term. I'm actually allergic to pollen, dust and animal fur (cats are extremely bad. If I visit a house for the first time I'll know as soon as the door opens if a cat lives there!), plus I get Asthma thrown in as a side effect. Makes me potentially sneezing my bloody head off all year. I had a test a few years ago that determined I'm allergic to all classes of pollen apart from a type of fern that grows in Scotland! So this time of year is just crap. And when it rains I literally feel a weight lift.

Thing is, I know I'd enjoy the sun if it wasn't for that. When I travelled to Arizona I felt absolutely fine.

I have Hay Fever too ... but nowhere as bad as you Jon! It's only 2 types - one that blooms in spring, the other in late summer until first ground freeze.

I'm also lightly allergic to dogs. But it's very light - I can spend a full with dogs and not have a problem, except a stuffy nose at the end of the day.
