o.k. - my first attempt to create a poll here! I'm eager to see the result.  :D

Critter

I will only watch Australian games, and even then I will probably only pop in and out of the room. Sport is not one of my biggest interests but I don't mind Soccer so I will give it a glance every now and then.

Antares

I chose other. I'll be watching USA vs England for sure, and I always root for Portugal, half of my ancestors are from there. I'm also half French, but I root against them after they stole the cup years ago.

Najemikon

I'm an endangered species this summer. I really do not like bloody football! And it's a UK obsession. :-X

kahless

Well, I have to admit that I'm not a big soccer fan, but when it comes to the world cup, I'll watch the German games. Maybe in addition some selected games as well.

I'm not going to watch the World Cup.. I can't understand the appeal of Futbol / Football / Soccer / Whatever.

But, I do like these!

My favorite is the one for Spain.

You are half French Canadian, not French... It's really different for us

Kathy

If they were televised I would try and watch them all. But I don't have cable so I will catch what I can.

At least people are actually moving in that sport and not just standing around most of the time like in Football or Baseball.  :tease:

Maybe but in comparaison with ice hockey and canadian football this is a boring sport.
what it so great in watching a bunch of guys running in shorts and scoring at best 2 goals in a game

Quality over quantity.  :P

Actually, I couldn't care less - I won't watch the Cup - but I couldn't resist teasing either...

The games will be all over the TV here since our national network had the rights for them. But I sure don't understand the reasonning since the Canada isn't even qualified for the world cup

Have we ever been qualified for the World Cup? And if we have been qualified, how bad did we do?

EDIT:

I'll be damned! We did qualify at least once!
