I apologise if this thread all ready exists

What podcast's do you guys listen to?

...I haven't listened to any for a while, and to be honest im looking for a good film podcast.

I will be going back to the podcast I used to listen to though.. GeekNights. :p

kahless

To be honest, I did not listen to any podcasts at all!  :-[

Tom

I listen to "Now Playing - The Movie Review Podcast"

They usually choose a theme and make a line of podcasts for it. For example they made a Star Trek movie marathon, a Terminator marathon, Back to the Future marathon, Martin Scorcese marathon and just now a Karate Kid marathon.

Kathy

I don't know what a podcast is!  :bag:

Jimmy

None. It's just too complicated with the speed of my internet connection.

Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo's is great. Simon is the host, but not a movie expert, so he's a good, long-suffering foil to Kermode. And when the latter is on full rant mode, it's a hell of a treat, even when you disagree.

Achim

I listen to two movie related podcasts:

(Cool) Shite on the Tube (from Tasmania, I have frequently mentioned them before)

Kermode and Mayo (mentioned by Jon above, introduced to me by Jon)

Movies you should see (I still download but currently don't listen to)

Beyond that I also listen to two podcasts related to video games. I had to stop one of them for the time being (as mentioned above), because I only listen in the car and it was just getting too much.

snowcat

Ive tried to listen to Kermode and Mayo  :-[ but my  attention span is that of a gnat when it comes to podcasts ¬_¬ ... I have to break them down so much... I just enjoy them lol.

Oh and Kathy a podcast is kind of like a radio show but in a format that you can listen to on a MP3 player or computer, they ussually focus on a subject like film or video games.... you can also get video versions.

Kathy

Thanks Emma - I did look it up. I don't own a MP3 player and I waste too much time on the computer now so I won't be doing any Podding.

DJ Doena

I don't listen to any podcasts. I'd rather read texts because there I have the option to skim-read it and to skip paragraphs I'm not interested in.
Karsten

Abraham Lincoln once said The trouble with quotes from the internet is that you never know if they're genuine.

The reason I like Podcasts is I can leave the computer off and listen while doing menial things. In fact, I think the name comes from the iPod culture; the idea of listening to it downloaded to your iPod (disclaimer: other MP3 players are available).
