Ok... I had an idea for a movie marathon. But it is one where I need Brittany to watch it with me. So it has to wait till the weekend after next weekend. As she is going away for the weekend this weekend.

My Idea is a Father/Daughter Face Your Fears Marathon... where we will watch movies about spiders for my fear... and movies with clowns for her fear.

But the problem is... Brittany is not too inclined to do this with me.

What do you all think? Don't this sound like a good idea for a movie marathon for us?  Devil

Do you have a number of films with both subjects?  I know there are a number of spider movies (Arachniphobia, Tarantula, Eight-Legged Freaks, etc.) but how many clown movies can there be?  I can think of that Stephen King mini-series and Killer Klowns From Outer Space...and one or two others...but not a lot.  But I do think this could definitely be an interesting idea.

Tarantula, in case you're wondering, was one of those great giant creature movies from the 1950s.  I don't even know if it's available on DVD, though.  But I would recommend you get it if it is out there.

Well I normally stick to around 6 movies per weekend... so 3 on each subject would be cool. I would have to see if I have another one for clowns... but I should be covered with Spiders... I have...

Spiders:
- Arachnophobia
- Eight Legged Freaks
- Horrors of Spider Island

Clowns:
- Stephen King's It
- Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Even though his makeup is clown-like and I think he's sometimes referred to as "the clown prince of crime", I never really think of The Joker as a clown.  I'm not sure why.  There's also Shakes The Clown.  Got any circus movies?  Like The Greatest Show On Earth or Toby Tyler?  Or Air Bud?

If I were Brittany, I'd do it. She definitely has the advantage here as far as the quantity of movies she can pick from versus what you have to pick from.  Tongue

I just had a funny thought that for me personally to have a 'face your fears' marathon I would need to watch... any horror film. The thought of watching more than one horror when I have mostly avoided the genre for many years now is well... I don't think anyone could get me to do it.  Bag

She might be more inclined if you would face your fear of musicals and watch a few of those with her Devil

 Yahoo ! Woohoo!  Yahoo !

And thanks for letting me know early enough. This way I can be sure to save Horrors of Spider Island... as I am planning on doing an unwatched DVD marathon this weekend.  Thumb up !
