Scholarship

So right now im working really hard to try and get a Scholarship into the film course I want to do. To be honest I think its amazing that I have even been considered! but... Ahh! im getting stressed waiting to find out.

Anyone else ever received a scholarship... To be honest... im not even sure how it works

I won 2 and I didn't apply to either one! My instructors in LPN school nominated me. They weren't huge, a thousand dollars a piece, but were a wonderful surprise none the less.

Anyone else ever received a scholarship... To be honest... im not even sure how it works

I got a few.  I don't think they were much.  The Financial Aid office took care of everything for me.  So I don't really know how they work either.

I did get a scholarship to cover 1/2 of everything from USC.  But I had already finished the first couple weeks at my school before I even found out.  Why they would mail scholarship materials to you at a different college is beyond me, but I wasn't about to drop out after a couple weeks to attend a different school!

Instead of hijacking the AWOL thread ive decided to post here to tell you guys about last night


So, last night was our "mini Oscars" awards night, as I said I was nominated for two awards: Best Advert and Best Music Video... I later found I was also nominated for best Single Camera Drama. Amazingly I won both the Advert and Music Video categories which was great! and actually quite a shock there were alot of other videos that were very good. So towards the end of the night there was a few awards for "Special Achievement to the course" I (and another 4 people) all managed to get one of these awards. I managed to get three awards overall which I can't believe. I'm so happy.

So, I will be away from the internet for a while now, i have some videos that I really want to complete over the next few days.

Stupid question regarding your scholarship: I was under the impression that university was paid for in the UK because it came out of your taxes. Is it only a portion that's paid for?
