Critter... I know you've played Shadow of the Colossus (my amazing powers of deduction tell me so), but have you played Ico? I've played a bit of each, but not finished either (I really should get back to Shadow of the Colossus, but I'm a little stuck at the one with the geyser).

I never finished Shadow either and now I no longer have a PS2 so I can't. I'm hoping they might one day re-release it on PS3 like they did with the original God of War games. I have never played Ico but I would really like to. During The Last Guardian trailer the word 'ICO' appears on screen briefly before the proper title, I found that very cool.

There are rumours of that happening, so hopefully you'll be in luck. Not sure if I'd buy a PS3 version though. It seems every retro pack (including the God of War Collection) seems to gather dust.

I'm not really happy about this casting... well for that matter I'm not overly excited about a movie version of it at all, but what can you do?

I'm not expecting much. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes the same way as the Bioshock movie that is suppose to be coming out. Just keeps getting pushed back.

Maybe. I don't think Mark Wahlberg is a good choice, but that's probably because I personally just don't like him. If anything Nathan Fillion would have been perfect for the role.

My local Tesco's has the 320GB slim PS3 plus GT5 for £269.00. Do I donate my old 40GB fat PS3 to someone and get this?

That depends, is your 40GB one too small for you and do you need more space in the hardrive? If so then it sounds like a good idea.
