On Nov. 29 I ordered for box set from Deep Discount as part their "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" sale.  One was OOS but on Dec. 3 they shipped the first three.  We are now 13 days later and I still haven't received them.  Checked my account online and there's now tracking #.

It's been a few years since my previous order at Deep Discount and I don't remember, does it always take that long when they ship to canada ?

Achim

13 days seems almost longer than shipping to Taiwan...

My last shipments (reported in another thread) needed just about that time to come over the big ocean to me.

I placed an order with DeepDiscount on Dec 5th, which was shipped Dec 9th. And I just received it this morning. So I guess an email to customer support is in order.

Also, I have no idea if their support has changed since, but last year I had a package lost in the mail, and they promptly shipped another, without any hassle!

Jimmy

On the 2 order that I've made at the beginning of december only one was received and they was sent the same day. I suppose that the one that I don't receive yet is at the custom office. But if I don't receive it this week I will contact them. It's probabbly the same thing for you, just wait just a little more longer.

The thing that bothers me is that they don't provide tracking numbers so I can't even check if it's stuck at customs.

Jimmy

I don't like that too. They charge 5.95 US$ for the shipping and they can't give a tracking number, this is not so great. With Amazon.ca, I don't pay 1 cent for the shipping and they always give me the number.

Kathy

I sent a package to Canada on Dec. 7 and was told it would take 5-7 days. It didn't arrive until the 17th  :voodoo: so I think the shipping is running slow.  >:(

Must be the nice customs people taking a peek at all the nice Christmas gifts transiting between Canada and USA  :P

Touti

I understand customs can be slow but Kathy sent it on the 7th and it got delivered on the 17th, my package was shipped 4 days earlier than hers and it's still not here.

I'm gonna send them an email tonight.

Jimmy

Same here Touti. 2 package send the 3, the first one was receive the 13 (the usual 10 days) and the second not yet. But I'm almost certain that it will be here in a couple of days. This is the christmas time and a lot of order was made in the US because of their weak money  ;).

Jimmy

Touti my package just arrive this morning, so you will get your one very soon if is not already arrives.

8.81$ more to pay for a 27$ package  >:(

Touti

I'll probably have a card in the mail when I get home tonight, will have to pick it up at the post office and I expect I'm gonna have to pay customs and taxes as well.  My guess is that customs open pretty much every package during the holidays because many try to have taxable merchandise declared as gifts.

Touti

Just got home and there's nothing in the mail :weep:

Odd. I didn't have any customs to pay for my package, and it was a ~85$ package

Sometime we are lucky. Most of the time I have nothing to pay, but those guys had to justify their salary to their boss who are us in a certain way
