You can call that nostalgia purchase since Glass Tiger was one of my favorite Canadian band in the eighties (the others being Loverboy and Honeymoon Suite). BTW I've seen the three band live and they gave great show, no recorded tracks like most of the performers these days...

Really annoying that the first Crank is yet to be released on blu in the UK. Imports are a tad more than I would like to pay so maybe I'll just wait it out for the forthcoming Lionsgate 3D conversion. Have you seen the Crank movies before?

I passed on the first Crank movie on Blu-ray as well because of the asking price. I knew Statham was one of the action guys but I've never seen him in anything but The Expendables and I liked him there. Crank was just a tad bit too silly for me but by then I already ordered part 2 (and wondering how you're going to make a sequel out of that ending!).

Maybe I will give him another chance with The Transporter, who knows..

The Transporter films are all very good (though deteroriate in quality with each sequel) but also worth a look are Death Race, The Mechanic and War. The Bank Job is also excellent but not your typical Statham actioner. Apart from Transporter 2 and 3 I have reviewed all these briefly in my marathon thread.

I mostly enjoyed Crank but I really detested that sex scene on the pier and the film never fully recovered for me after that

I'd say that is the only reason I am curious about Crank 2, just how they think they can get away with continuing from where they left off.
