 Hope you'll enjoy it.
Purchase is purely based on your recommendation ;)

I do enjoy musicals from time to time though, like Rocky Horror, Little Shop, Bugsy Malone or Meet the Feebles (). You might rememebr that I did not enjoy Sweeney Todd at all.

QuoteAlso, Enter the Void and Bambi is an interesting mix. :)
Mark Kermode didn't necessarily like Enter the Void, but he certainly made a sdtrong point of the crazy camera movements it's supposed to have. If anything, then that is what I am curious about.

I know a little bit who Gaspar Noe is, as I have seen his Irreversible. I found that very interesting, how a movie featuring a severe beating with a fire extinguisher and a prolongued rape scene can still end so positively and upbeat that the audience will not leave the theater depressed.

If you like them do yourself a favor and never try to watch Road to Nashville... I watch it yesterday and God it was an hard task to do. Can you imagine a film with no storyline, with no one who can act, filled with country song (maybe more than 20) with only 2 good one (I walk the line and El Paso) and all that for almost 2 hours (1h49 to be exact). I imagine that some people like this film since it is rated 6.2 at imdb, but sixties country music is sure not my thing :yucky:

Achim

Some people might argue that country is not music, hence the film is no musical

Well, I am quite selective with musicals and country music is usually not my thing, so there isvery little danger of me getting tempted by that film... But yes, it sounds awful (even more so).

I received 4 shiny discs today...a couple of movies and a couple of audio CDs...

Big Jake (Blu-ray) starring John Wayne, Richard Boone and Maureen O'Hara
Rio Lobo (Blu-ray) starring John Wayne
This Is Country Music (CD) by Brad Paisley
The Dreaming Fields (CD) by Matraca Berg

Of course, based on the last few posts, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned my getting these country albums?   Matraca's CD, though, is more folkish than country.  I like her though she doesn't record often...this is her first release in 14 years.

I looked her up on amazon UK and listened to a couple of the 30sec bursts they had there and have now ordered this. Thank you.

You are welcome.  I'm always happy to pass along recommendations of any kind, whether they be video or just audio formats.  I hope you like her album as much as I do.

I loved Near Dark.... it is really an under-rated vampire movie. I have watched it countless times over the years.

Me too, but why paula abdul is on the cover and why the vampire looks like nothing in that movie but a whiny one from Twillight
