Xyrano's Gallery Viewer
« on: April 20, 2010, 11:25:53 PM »
I've have been corresponding with Xyrano the last few days about this program and he's come up with a revised code that now makes this the preferred gallery viewer for me.

Now, instead of opening the image in a pop-up Explorer window, it opens the image with whatever you use to view images on your computer. I use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, so now I can scroll through the images.  :thumbup:

Check it out if your using the Profiler Gallery viewer, I think you'll like it better.

The built-in version is a bit weird, in that I am never sure where I can place the related window :shrug:

Thanks for the heads up, I definetely thinks it's a good idea to open the picture(s) with the "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" and then browse them in there...

So, has anyone else given this new version a chance?

I have, and I like it!

Now, if only Picasa Photo Viewer would sort the images correctly, it'd be that much more useful!

I definitely like the screensaver in this program.

You just reminded me to install it :bag:

Works great! I love how it opens the default program and not those windows anymore! Makes browsing much easier.

Of course, I don't have many galleries right now, so might want to get back to setting up more...

@Kathy
Don't worry setting this one up, especially with help. It's more a matter of copy and paste then an actual install of software.
