After having watched The Naked Gun, can you really take Lee Marvin seriously on this cover?

:hysterical: The heads are photoshopped so terribly, makes me wonder if that scene is even from this movies

QuoteGermans can schnitzel the hell out of anything. First, they take a slab of meat and hammer it flat.

That's right: they are so damn badass, they beat their food after it's dead.

I enjoy her writing style (read her entry about the Deutsches Museum as well). Bookmarked for later reading.

Funny how he wasn't sure whether Total Recall needs boycotting as well.

Achim, does any of your Asians friends felt racially "insulted" after watching any of those movies? I don't know but that sounds so silly to me, kind of like I would call a boycot of Die Hard because one of the organisation named was a non-existing French Canadian nationalist group wich would make us in silly planet a bunch of dangerous terrorist

I know I would be 24 years too late, but he is 22 years too late with Totall Recall and 35 years too late with Star Wars :hmmmm:

No.

I only remember myself feeling that a certain movie was racist towards Asians, but I even forgot what that was. :bag:

Jimmy

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Maybe it's more offensive than racist by cons...

Yeah .. it is funny how many of Apple's 'inventions' are good rehash of old ideas.

My first smart phone was an IPAQ which was unvailed in 2000.  Mine was in 2004 running Windows Mobile 2003 with writing with a lot of features that the amazing iPhone has now.

But you have to give it to them .. if they can't invent it they certainly can ... err .. appropriate it and sell it <G>

My first smart phone was an IPAQ

Had a 7410 (Mostly for mobile navigation).
The problem was the "Online-functionality", with not even UMTS established then, the connections were slow so slooooow (and horribly expensive!).
Not to forget that phone-functionality was only available when you connected a cell-phone via BluTooth.

True .. but remember that was 2000-2004 .. there was hardly an internet back them.  Had to use things like web crawler etc <G>
