Rogmeister

I believe that is the Lockhart family...you didn't say I had to list everyone's first names.  Obviously I know June...I guess Gene might be the father but I forget the name of the mother.

If this is sufficient, I'll take the next question in this category...

Antares

Rogmeister is correct for 800 points

Antares

Rogmeister has found the final Daily Double for this round...

How much of your 4300 points would you like to wager on the category Acting Families?

Rogmeister

I' m sorry it took me this long to respond.  I had to go to dialysis and I just got back.  With that said...how many times do you get to say...

I want to make this a true daily double!

This  means (for those of you who've never seen Jeopardy! on TV)...I'm betting it all!  Am I crazy or what?

Only Rogmeister can answer this question!

In the category Acting Families...

This father and daughter became estranged when the daughter became famous on television in the mid-60's. After being known as one of the finest actors of his generation in the 30's & 40's, and a respectable director in the 40's and 50's, by the late 60's the father's ego was crushed when he realized that the public viewed him primarily as his now famous daughter's father, causing him much consternation.

What are the names of both actors?

Only Rogmeister can answer this question!

GOOD LUCK!

Rogmeister

Oooh...maybe I AM nuts!

As I read the clue, only one name jumped out of the deep recesses of my mind.  The only actress I could think of from a 60s TV show that I could think of who had an actor father was Bewitched star Elizabeth Montgomery.  I believe her father is Robert Montgomery.  But while I loved Bewitched, I never really knew a lot about their relationship and don't know if they ever had any issues.  But since I can't think of anybody else, I guess I'll go with themn.  So do I wind up with 0 points?  Or a few more than that?

Antares

Jon is no longer in the lead...Rogmeister is correct for 4300 points!

Antares

There are two questions left in Acting Families, 600 or 1000 points. Which one do you want Rogmeister?

:weep:

Well done, Rog. And lets not beat around the bush. He's won the thing! I need well over 3000 points to catch him.

Whew.  I thought I had it but wasn't sure.  Okay, let's go with the 600-point question next then...

Jon, if this game follows the TV version's rules, after we finish the second round, there is "Final Jeopardy" where we get one question in one category.  Each one gets to wager as much of there total as they want.  I'm not sure how that question would be handled, though.  Would we send our answers directly to Antares so everyone can't see everyone else's answers?  I don't know.  I don't remember if that was mentioned about 20 pages ago...

Ah, but there is Final Jeopardy after those 2 questions. Everyone in the running can potentially double their score.

Najemikon

Oh, ok! I get it. I think.

Game on.
