In the cartoon short What's Opera Doc, Elmer Fudd sings in operatic form the following...Kill the  Wabbit!, Kill the Wabbit! This line is played to the music of one of the most famous orchestral pieces by Richard Wagner from the opera Der Ring des Nibelungen. This orchestral piece is also featured in Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now, what is the name of this famous orchestral piece?

I'm back to my "I have no idea" mode...but I did get a few answers right so I'm happy!

Dragonfire

My ...obsession with Looney Tunes cartoons finally pays off.  :hysterical:

Najemikon

Blimey. People, we need to nab one here I think, and get her off this damn category!  :tease:

Dragonfire

Hey now..I'm still in last you know..and I was like -400 when we started this round.  So I'm probably not that much of a threat even with this category.

Critter

*crosses fingers* Please be a Pixar catagory next....  :P

You sure do know your Looney Tunes Marie

Antares

OK, we have a small problem here.

I'm going to need a proper translation from one of our German friends on this one.

I always known this orchestral piece as Ride of the Valkyries. Is it also know as Flight of the Valkyries?

Dragonfire

I'd heard of it as Flight...though I could have heard wrong.

Halo2

From Wikipedia:

"Flight of the Valkyries is also a misnomer for Ride of the Valkyries, the popular term for the beginning of Act III of Die Walküre by Richard Wagner."

Depending on how strictly you want to follow the rule, I would concede it to be an acceptable answer.

:2cents:

Antares

I'm going to give it to you. Dragonfire is correct for 400 points
