Since we list the one we have, here we go for me
40.
Superman IV: the Quest for Peace
(I find it better than the third one and Superman return)
35.
House of the Dead
(nothing to do in this list, the funniest action zombie movie made in the last 10 years)
26.
Glitter
(they're only 2 reasons to buy that and it's the only part of Mariah Carey that can act)
21.
Alone in the Dark
(good science fiction film who is hurt by the bad cgi for the creature)
16.
Plan 9 from outer space
(I have 2 version of this film and for a low budget film of this time it isn't that bad)
14.
Disaster Movie
(pure crap bought for a marathon)
11.
Meet the Spartans
(bad, but not as much as the other films directed by the same guy)
5.
Epic Movie
(pure crap bought for a marathon)

While it is definitely not what I would call a great movie... it's not even my least favorite of the Batman movies since that honor goes to the animated movie Batman: Gotham Knight... I still quite enjoyed Batman & Robin. I would probably give it about a 3 or 3.5 out of 5. I find it to just be a fun movie for some reason.
Hmmmm.... George Clooney as Batman?.... that would fit into this weekend's movie marathon!

Don't take my comment that hard
Nah, you just work in absolutes. You're either on or off, so I retort with similar.
I'm far more disappointed in...

I can understand people not liking Superman Returns, but I thought it was magnificently staged film and so I can't understand the hate. It's beautifully made. As someone in the forums said, the plane sequence alone is better than the 50 films. "Beautifully made" and "magnificent" are not accusations you could point at Quest For Peace. Terrible film on so many levels! At least Returns had heart, passion and some film-making skill.
That's the only one I have in the list though, because it's in my boxset. I'll use it as a coffee mat while I'm watching the others!

Superman Returns
put me to sleep everytime I've tried to watch it... not
Superman 4
. It's hard to like a film who does that, but good/bad film is a relative and personal theme. I'm sure some of the films that are the best ever made for me are pure crap for you (think at
Last House in the Left
as a good exemple of this).

To me... Superman IV is the worse of all the superman movie (live action and animated).I am with Jon on Superman Returns... and I am (I believe) one of the few that actually enjoyed Superman III.

Oops, I forgot about Heaven's Gate...brain fart, I guess. I've never seen it...so I'm not sure if it's considered a traditioinal western (meaning being in the right time period and all).
It's about the
Johnson County war
in 1892.

In that case, it's definitely in the right era. Of course, I've heard it's so dusty that even if you watch it, you can't "see" it...

I agree with you on this one, Emma.
I'm with Jimmy on the subject of Supes, I admit I have never been a fan of the big blue boy scout, but Superman 4 did fit with the time it was made, the whole nuclear disarmament, cold war nuclear supremacy thing.(I haven't seen it since it came out on rental video, so things may be a little hazy.)
Superman Returns was just a pile of shit. Parker Posey was the only part I found microscopically watchable.

Also
Superman IV
was a victim of the money trouble at Cannon Films. A good part of the original script was not film and a good part of the budget was cut. That explain why this film look so incomplete and why think happens with no reasons or logic. If it would been produced by another studio this would have been a very good Superman movie. Yes, it would have been cartoonish, but all the movie based on comic book were like that in that time (even the first one was like that).
In the case of
Superman Returns
it's boring and it's the worst fault you can do when you make a superhero movie. Why do you think no follow up were made after it

You're opening a can of worms there! Ironically, how you defend IV can be in some ways be pointed at Returns as well, but as I said at least Returns looked fantastic while IV just stunk something awful from start to finish. You say it's more exciting? Well I remember seeing it as a kid and thinking then it was awful! There is nothing boring about the plane sequence and the rest, I enjoyed. So shoot me.
And just for context, you're the one who prefers that dodgy Fantastic Four to the new one...
Anyway, I digress. Even if Superman Returns was perfect and made Avatar-type business, the rumours were it would always struggle to make a profit. Warners had a script of sorts bouncing around Hollywood since the early 90s and frequently went into pre-production. Remember I once related the Kevin Smith anecdote from his stand-up show? He was supposed to direct for Joel Silver producing and the story is hilarious; Silver didn't want the blue and red costume, because it looked "gay" and he wanted him to be able to breathe fire while fighting a giant spider!
I know, I know, you'd buy that version!
So Warners had sunk a hundred million or two long before the new film was green lit. Since then, they have wanted to do a sequel because while the haters like to think it was a flop, it wasn't. Certainly they assumed it was going to do Spidey business and in fact it merely did normal Summer blockbuster levels. That and the debt have made them overly cautious, but they were always going to have burnt fingers.
Returns had somethings going for it that could have been built on: Routh for one, and Singer has proved with X-Men that he starts slow and then brings the noise for part 2...
I acknowledge it isn't a loved film, but I regard the first Superman film as possibly the best "cinema" film ever and Returns had exactly the same style. Singer obviously adored the character and I would have loved to have seen his Man of Steel. See? The sequel has always had a title...
