If I saw a thread named "Guilty Pleasures", I would think it was one of Jimmy's postings.

Jimmy

I don't feel guilty about them :tease:

Hmmm, maybe someone should start a "Guilty Pleasures" thread?

Someone did. ;) Here.

And now it is brought back from the dead.  ;)

yeah, we all know Tobey wasn't the best choice, but he did best that was possible the specific franchise. Hopefully the reboot would do better, I mean it made a lot of money, but the cast was one of the stuff that could really be improved.

Dragonfire

I read yesterday that the new one is going to be in 3D

I read that too. Cool, huh? :yahoo: Feel a little bad for my dad though, with his blind eye he can't watch 3D straight, but good news is I heard there was going to be a 2D screen too. ;D

My mom always told me that when I had nothing nice to say to say nothing. So my comment will be :-X

Im not a big fan of 3D ;/ the 3D glasses are uncomfortable (I have to wear them over my regular glasses)

Guess I'm a special case. When I don't feel like those theater-type glasses, I bring a pair from home that are like sunglasses, fit easily over my real glasses. Something you guys might wanna look into. ;D

I could have sworn there'd been a more recent discussion about Spidey, but hey ho, this topic is titled properly.  :D

They have announced the new Peter Parker: Andrew Garfield, another Brit taking on an American hero.

Amongst the comments to that article is the theme I've been coming across ever since Raimi did the original Spider-Man; that he concentrated too much on the angst and not enough on the light hearted cheeky fun that Spidey can be known for. Certainly I always loved the dialogue in the books and the snappy one-liners and while they were there in the films, along with the cheerful "whoop!" when he was swinging about, I'd have preferred more of that.

If Garfield represents a move in that direction, that's cool. Still should have just been a new film instead of a fricking 'reboot' though.

Wasn't Garfield a cat and not a spider?

*groan*, *eyeroll* - Yeah, I know. But someone had to say it.

Dragonfire

I saw this the other day.  Never heard of him either.
