Yeah, I get more feedback when I integrate a small subset of the features of the Viewer into my award plugin than for the Viewer itself.
Features, which the Viewer had for years. I remember the good old days when the old Viewer was growing just because of the feedbacks and user requests.
I won't throw in the towel though, because I myself want to have my 2.8 version replaced with the newer version. Though it comes along much slower than when I have others giving feedback. I made huge steps when I had almost daily feedback from another user, but now he is on rehab for a couple of weeks after an operation.

Tom,

My assumption is that the xml file exported from dvdp from the File/Export is the correct file to import.  If this is not correct please forget the rest of this ..

I have just tried CCV and have a problem importing the xml file.  My guess is that it is something in my xml file as i had a problem importing to MyMovies also.

As always I have run the fix file utility but the problem still persists.

Here is the error

As mentioned my guess is that it is my understanding of the process.

Thank you
David

Looks like there is a problem with the XML file. If you want to send it to me (zipped), I will take a look at it when I get home.

Thanks for that Tom.  No hurries .. for you to look at it.  Not sure what could be a problem in the data.  Just use the tools at hand.

What email should I sent this to?  Cant find a way to attach it to a 'message' and don't see any address on your web site.

Just zipped it and it is 4,921kb

Thanks again
David

You can send to the email address linked under my avatar or the one available in the readme file of the CCViewer.

Under your avatar there are 4 icons.
I clicked each of the little icons under your avatar.
Flower takes to me to ICQ .. no email.
Person takes me to Profile .. email hidden.
Earth takes me to your site ... looked on all pages on the left and did not find an address.
Little 'speach box' takes me to messages .. no email address there.

The download i did today was a zipfile that contained 1 file.  CCViewerSetup.exe.  It created a folder in users\dsig\documents called CCViewer3.  There is no readme file in that folder or any sub folder.  I looked in the ? menu item of CCViewer, but there was nothing there but that it was a beta.

Believe me .. i don't know what it is about me and all things dvdProfiler like .. but if there is an email address in any of those places .. i simply can't find it.

I get that you don't want to publicize your email address.  You can send it to me at dtsig@hotmail.com

Thanks
Thank you
David

Sorry for this. I was not at my computer, so I couldn't check. I have my email entered in my profile here and it does show as email option. But it doesn't seem to work. I get an error message when clicking on the email symbol. Also I thought for sure I had included an email address somewhere in my tool. Doesn't look like it though.
I never post my email address directly in a forum to keep it spam free (I don't want webcrawlers to harvest my email addresses). So far this is a good policy because I do not get any spam on my main email accounts. I will drop you an email.

That is impressive. I found that mail exposure in plain site is not the only way to get spam; I used to think so but then learned... I never put my work e-mail address anywhere and still I started getting spam. My theory is, that business partners have malware on their computer which sends out the mails or at least reads out their address book and sends that to the spammers.
