My cousins birthday is tomorrow! They tend to celebrate it in the afternoon and keep the morning for Christmas...

Due to financial difficulties beyond my control, I am unable to give gifts this year so I'm giving stuff from my own collection.  My brother and his wife are getting my collection of the movies of the Coen brothers...  My dad's getting a couple of western novels and my nephew is getting some GameCube video games.

Gotta love a bit of re gifting every now and then.  There's no need for everyone to go out buying all new things all the time when second hand presents are often just as rewarding. I personally didn't really get any "presents" of the traditional sense this year, more my family have given me money to spend on presents for myself. I look forward on DVD shopping tommorow in the boxing day sales   ;D

Here it is 5:30 in the morning right now... and I expect Brittany to get up any time now. I went to ask Brittany something last night around 8pm and she was already in bed sound asleep. She wanted to be sure to get up early this morning!

We opened stuff on Christmas Eve..after I got to feeling a little better.  Unfortunately I got sick at around 4 on Christmas Eve.  Was feeling better after about 8 hours or so.
We are going to have Christmas dinner this evening.  My mom decided to wait to make sure I was all better first.  I still just ate soup yesterday.

We mostly all got some DVDs.  I got my mom the new special collector's edition of Gone With the Wind..I went ahead and got it on Blu-ray because it was only like $3 more than the DVD.  I told her she now has an excuse to get a Blu-ray.   She already had 2 other DVD versions of the movie, but it is her favorite movie so I decided to get it for her.

I was given a Gone with the Wind DVD a good 4 years ago. And I still never watched it. Not because I am not interested... it just takes a lot for me to get in the mood for such a LONG movie! :P I picked it up out of my unwatched pile several times (even last weekend!) and just end up putting it back down when I think Almost 4 hours! :P

I will get to it one of these days though!

I understand that.  Even my mom says she has to start that one early enough when she watches it.  A few times she's mentioned wanting to watch it again, but didn't at that time because it was later.
