Whereabouts are you? We're covered. Hasn't been snowing for a while, but it's settled quite well.

Kathy

I feel sorry for those who have never seen or played in snow. Ice skating, tobogganing, snow fights...wheeeee...I still make snow angels every year!

I still don't have a drop of snow on the ground. :weep:  But, an hour away the ski lifts opened yesterday.

Critter

I can imagine playing in snow would be fun, since I've never done it though I don't exactly miss it. One day I will go on a snow trip! It's so crazy that almost everyone on this foum is talking about snow at the moment, and over here we are getting fire warnings almost daily and quite hot weather. Next Wednesday it will be 35C (95C). Least it's not as bad as last Summer yet when it got up to 49C (120F).

Achim

As I heard there were four slightly injured people in Taipei and some property damage on the east coast, closer to the epicenter.

During "the big one" I was on the 8th floor in a building with a square footprint, that was much scarier. I now live on the 5th floor of a long apartment block.

The trouble about living in an apartment is, that IF something should go bad you not only have to get to the first floor but also far away from any high rise buildings in the surrounding. That is why I am so scared when it happens, it almost feels like my last hour may have come :-\

It's finally slowing down!  :yahoo:

I just finished shoveling and I'm dead tired and my back is killing me.  :surrender:

Thank god it was a dry fluffy snow, I measured 16 inches at 8:30AM.

Dragonfire

I think it stopped snowing here sometime last night. Not as much here...a few inches I think.  Still freezing out though.
