Even though I will have to cook Thanksgiving dinner all myself this year... I would still like to be able to fit in 2 or 3 Thanksgiving themed movies. But for the life of me I can not think of a single Thanksgivings themed movie in my collection!

Last year I did Thanksgiving TV Episode... and I could do that again... but would rather do movies this year. So can anyone give me any suggestions? Unfortunately if I do not own them... I will not be able to get them (especially in time for Thursday!).

If you really feel brave and want to check my collection of movies... you can do so HERE.

I got the series... but don't have either movie. Thanks Though! :)

Dragonfire

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is the only one I have that deals with Thanksgiving.

Thanks... been wanting to add that one to my collection. But some reason kept forgetting about it.

Being Australian I can't really help you here. Thanksgiving is one holiday that we just do not celebrate here, I don't even know what it's about except that usually people eat Turkey

I been looking through my collection... and I just don't think I have any movies dealing with Thanksgiving. I guess I will just do TV show episodes again... from what I can tell... I have 25 of them in my collection.

Another Thanksgiving movie would be Home For The Holidays.  It was directed by Jodie Foster and stars Holly Hunter, Charles Duning, Robert Downey Jr. and other familiar names.  Surprisingly, it's a comedy (since Jodie has done few comedies in her adult film career).

I bet that made Jimmy's ears perk up! "Jodie Foster? Adult films?"

It's a harvest festival. It is to say thanks for the ending harvest season. Hence why in Canada it is 1 month earlier. We are a colder country, so our harvest season ends earlier.

Transitionally anyway. I'd be surprised if that's still the reason why it's around! hahaha

Yup... I think it is just a reason to stuff yourself now!  :P

I always thought it was something to do with the Pilgrims as well. That the Native Indians, in particular Pocohontas, fed them from their own harvest when the settlers couldn't get a footing.

All I learned was from The New World and Addams Family Values!  :bag:
