This is mainly for my German speaking friends.
You probably know this one already. Stromberg is the German "The Office" adaption. And a very fun one at that in my opinion. This is mainly due to the actor who plays "Bernd Stromberg", the boss and titular character. I also find "Ernie" very fun. It is the character in the German version the other characters make fun of, like Gareth and Dwight in the UK and US versions.

I had the urge to rewatch this series for awhile now, but still haven't gotten around to it. Now I see, that all episodes are available for free to watch online, so I thought, that maybe someone would like to join a little marathon. In total there are 26 episodes over three seasons.

I am sorry, but I'll give this a pass. I very much like the original and thought the US version was decent. However, seeing how I dislike to listen to German on TV (with very few exceptions), and watching the first few minutes just confirmed that, I don't really want to see just more of the same.

I'll rewatch Extras any time with you  ;D

I am the same. I also don't like to watch German TV. Though Stromberg is one of the very few exceptions of mine. I also watched a few minutes of the first episode yesterday, and going by them, I can see why someone doesn't want to watch it. It is not very representative of the series in my opinion.

I've tried to watch a few episodes but I find the main character too arrogant. He doesn't have a singe trait I like about him and since he gets the most screentime I don't watch this. It's like Fremdschämen pur (roughly: vicarious embarrassment).

That was the intention with Gervais' original, but it's all in the delivery.

But I get that on a nearly daily basis in real life (especially during lunch and during standing in lines) I don't need that on TV.

Yeah, I know what you mean! Gervais perfected that form of comedy embarrassment. It's painful to watch, but funny all the same. I know Curb Your Enthusiasm is similar, but I think it was easier to identify with The Office.
