A good friend of my brother's is a tattoo artist. And he came and made a housecall over here today. And I got myself a new tattoo! While I was getting my tattoo (and a few afterwards) my brother found my digital camera and snapped a few shots.

This is a wrist band... but with a touch of MY style.... it is an open wound with stitches. He guy said it will look even better then it does now once it heals.

Here is the pictures my brother took...

Ok.... there you have it. And this is what kept me from starting my Weekend Movie Marathon today. So what do you all think?

Here's what I think: I hate tattoos. I don't understand their appeal. At all. Sorry.  :(

That is quite alright... I know not everyone likes them. This is actually my second tattoo... I also have an eagle on my shoulder. I always liked them... so I am happy. :)

so I am happy. :)

That's the important part! No matter what anybody else says ;)

You know, I had a girlfriend who had a butterfly tattooed in a well hidden place.. it almost made me warm up to tattoo each time I saw it!

 Sounds like a good one to me!  ;D

Well, I am mostly with RossRoy on this one... I don't have any and I don't want any. However, I don't hate them on others; if they want 'em and like 'em then that's cool with me.

I usually think though, that tattoos in overly visible places may become troublesome later in life, especially in the face. Unfortunately the wrist is also one of those places. But, as long as you will always enjoy having it there, then that'll be fine.

Having said all that, I think the idea of the tattoo is pretty cool and I hope your friend is right and it will look even better in a few weeks. Post another pick here in May...

I don't have any either and I don't want any.  I might have considered something small somewhere that didn't show all the time..but I hate needles, so I'm just not going there.  Basically I think if the person getting them likes them and wants them, then it is their business.  Though, I do think some people go way overboard with them.

Yours is looking cool...and I can see how it fits in with your love of horror movies since it looks to me like something from one of them.  Sort of like the stitches on Frankenstein's monster.

My sister-in-law also got one yesterday... she is a Huge Elvis Presley fan... so she got the name Elvis with a decoration under his name on her arm.

I've got a band around my left wrist.

It nips a little doesn't it?

LOL... yeah... just a little. The guy said he was expecting me to cry out in pain... but I refused to give him the satisfaction. I just sat there and didn't make a sound.

I've got some tats I had done when I was very young (16).

I have regretted them ever since I got to 18 and tried to build a career.

:(

I got my first one when I was 26... and no regrets. I only have one regret on this new one. And that is the fact it took me 13 years to get my second one.  :P

I posted pictures of my wife's tattoo on the other forum.  But for me personally, I agree with most people here.  They don't bug me, but I don't have any.  And I have no plans to get one.  Nor have I ever had anything pierced.

Haha! Just saw a tattoo photo that could be interesting:
