My mother sick again...

Well... looks like my mother is sick again. She started with a little head cold the night before Thanksgiving. Today she issick, weak, tired and pale. We have a good idea that her pneumonia is coming back. We have a call to the doctor's office now... waiting to hear back. I imagine they will either prescribe antibiotics or admit her to the hospital. I am kinda hoping that they will admit her to the hospital so that they can get her right and have her home and healthy again before Xmas. Funny... thinking back... she was sick with pneumonia right before Xmas last year too. Anyway... I may be off later to take her to the hospital. If you don't see me online much today that is why.

Thanks... I am sure this will be nothing serious... as long as she at least gets the antibiotics. But if she does go to the hospital I may be gone for a while today.

I just started a movie a little bit before my brother told me about this... but now I can't finish watching it till after we hear back from the doctor's office.

we waited for hours to hear back from the doctor... and when we finally did we found out that he sent in a prescription for antibiotics and made an appointment for her for Monday to see how she is doing by then.

Thanks everyone... She has been on the antibiotics for only a couple days now... so no improvement yet. But if we don't see some improvement soon we will be taking her to the hospital anyway.

Well... I just got back after spending most the day with mom in the hospital. She was steadily getting worse so we tookl her to the ER. Luckily it is not pneumonia... but she does have a couple pretty nasty infections and she was dehydrated. So they gave her a stronger antibiotic, a breathing treatment and some liquids through an IV. And then they sent her home with us. I think I would have felt better if she stayed... but at least we now know it isn't pneumonia.

I hope the antibiotics help her. 

My mom gets bronchitis very easy..she doesn't get a normal cold.  If she starts coughing, within a day she has bronchitis, and if she doesn't get antibiotics really quick, it turns to pneumonia.
