Only a slight chance as they don't care about that kind of stuff anymore... They release mostly new DT-DVD movies and in the rare case they did release something older it's a botched job.

...and with Blu-ray they probably would have to region-lock it, due to the different rights distribution in the US, which would make it prohibitive for me :(

I thought Universal only has the rights to Part 2, but not 4

Part 4 is indeed not very good and it's here where things go incredibly crazy and surreal. It still doesn't properly end

I like Coscarelli and am veruy much looking forward to his new effort "John Dies at the End".

My error... Anchor Bay and MGM own that one.

BTW I've pre-order that one too last week.

I have the DVD they put out a few years ago. I am wondering if I should upgrade or not; Gordon is one of my favorite directors and I like this one a lot. Maybe I'll see what the reviews say...

Thanks :)

Glad to see they carried over the old stuff and added a healthy dose of new things, making an upgrade worth our while.

How is the extras situation on Lifeforce? Is it maybe even a different cut? I quite liked it when I saw it, but I remember reading that there are different versions available...?

(3D Steelbook)

Maybe the biggest surprise for me last year. Didn't expect any of these suddenly to be good. Btw, not sure which release you've got, but a lot of them (including the US ones) are cut. Although, since you work with dvdcompare.net, you probably know that.

Seemingly uncut in the UK on limited theatrical release according to a friend. If anything pops up between now and release, I'll just cancel it.

Anyhow, pre-ordered:

Thanks. Just before coming to this forum today I found details at blu-ray.com. If picture quality is great I might upgrade.

Most f it looks familiar...? Anyway, unless I can get the first one on Blu-ray I don't need the others. I have the great R2 DVD set and upgrading is dependent on the first one entirely.
