I can't for the life of me understand how this did not win the Oscar for best short film?

It's a great little short film (30mins iirc). I've got it on DVD, and am dreadfully disappointed that the sequels alluded to on the official site never came to fruition. The DVD comes with some of the director's other shorts, but none are anything like Jasper.

btw, the title on the clip is incorrect. It's actually The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello.

I didn't watch the clip because I'm on a phone connection and it's a pain in the derriere to watch something on YouTube. But judging by the title, I found your reaction exaggerated. Depending of when and by who sometimes it's really enjoyable to get rough in this area
