Hi,

this is a game that we play on my own board.

It's about giving giving two charakter hints of two different movies/TV shows. If someone guesses wrong or nobody guesses within a reasonable time limit you give another hint.

For example: First I was his girlfriend and then his mother -> Superman 3 / Smallville -> Annette O'Toole.

OK, let's try this:

I fought in the same year with god and against god.

#8
I was Uther Pendragon.

PS: You may use IMDb, it's not the-website-which-must-not-be-named around here. ;)

I do use IMDB, I think these games are good way to learn about movies and people we don't know.  Using IMDB is very good tool to dig and while finding the answers I learn stuff.  I don't think it's cheating in games that are based on hints.

Then simply cross reference Baldwin and Del Toro (at the bottom of an actor/actress page you can enter a second actor/actress and look up where they worked together) and then there aren't many movies left. ;)

IMDB is one of a kind database, if you ask me. I get why we're not allowed to use it at DVDP, and I agree, but some of the hatred towards it borders on the fanatical.

And I'm sorry to say I wasn't familiar with Mr. Pendragon :weep: so go easier on us on the next one, DJ  ;)

The problem is: I'm fast running out of hints, but try the Baldwin/Del Toro approach and there should be an answer.

Ok, Gabriel Byrne.

The Man in the Iron Mask.  I have this movie here, I should have pulled it out to check because my memory falsely remember Malkovich as D'Artagnan.

He's a great actor btw.  I really liked his work along Winona Rider in "Little Women".  Not a big role but he understood and rendered the character very well IMO.

DJ Doena

Gabriel Byrne it is.

I fought in the same year with god and against god. --> Stigmata, End of Days; both 1999.
I played in a movie that had the same title as the wind mill in Back to the Future 3 -> Point of No Return
I once was THE french musketeer. -> Man In the Iron Mask
I (=the actor) played alongside Stephen Baldwin and Benicio Del Toro -> The Usual Suspects
I was Uther Pendragon. -> Excalibur

Your turn.
