Should I make this a permanent forum ?

Would you like this to become a permanent forum for DVD Collectors.  A place to discuss about Softwares, hardwares, DVD's, related companies and studios etc.

I would of course change the name of the site for something more appropriate

If you're interested I'm opened to suggestions for a name and domain name.  I would also make it bilingual (Canada and Canada (Quebec)  )

Yes! Having a place were we can still hang out and talk about dvds means we don't have to hang out at that other place for the same reason.

There are many forums online already for DVD COllectors, however I think that since all (or at least most) of us are paid users of DVDP, it might be a good hangout for us.  I would hate, however, to see this be a place of eternal "venting" forum.  If we can all move on at some point (not yet, of course), then I say yes.

That's the plan.  We turn it into a place for DVD Collectors and change the name or I just shut it down once this is all settled.

Regardless of what happens with the courtcase keep this place going(assuming you've got the time and energy to stay as admin).

Don't know if I was alone, but the IVS boards seemed to be getting a little stale and I was losing interest in spending time there.

In the meantime how about a section for film & music purchase/review?

I have to agree with you. The IVS-IVL forums are becoming a warzone to argue about minute details nobody cares about except the few that are vehemently arguing about them.

Having a more amicable and moderated place to talk about movies, DVDs and all related stuff (or not! ) would be nice.
