Cable TV... Really?
« on: June 28, 2023, 06:15:00 AM »
I haven't had cable TV in the last 15 years. But today the roommate tried to get a better deal for our internet and the best deal she could get is with a small cable TV bundle. Well if I am going to pay for it I am going to attach it to my TV!

First time in 15 years I had cable attached to a TV and damn is it hard to watch... and what the hell? no more local channels with cable!?!

Biggest shock to the system was damn I forgot what commercials felt like and how often they came!

LOL  Cable TV is such a joke and we got it back in the house.  :slaphead: :stars:

I haven't watched "real" TV since the very early 2000s, since I had a sizable DVD collection. And I haven't missed it. We have a collective satellite dish for the whole apartment building, but we are not using it. Also we could stream "regular" TV via internet, but we also do not make use of it.
My son is growing up only knowing TV when visiting the grand parents ;)
He doesn't know the feeling to have to wait for your favorite TV show coming up on TV at a specific day and time.
