Robin Williams can do more serious roles really well too.
He's really good in Insomnia ...I need to watch that one again.
And another Robin Williams drama that I have... but slipped my mind.  :bag: :P
Just rewatch it yesterday and like the first time I find it boring and uninspired... For a Christopher Nolan movie this is really weak, even Al Pacino and Hilary Swank doesn't help. Compare to Following and Memento this is really a waste of time...

Of course maybe it's just me again

It has been a while since I watched it too.  I think I remember it having a slower pace, but I thought that worked for the movie..to help build tension.

The Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong did a good job with this for me untill I sent it to Pete in exchange for Tromeo and Juliet

Well, I really like Insomnia. Superb film. And the tension was in Pacino struggling with his conscience. I found the dynamic fascinating of not only giving control to Williams, but making him morally right, at least in the case of Pacino's partner.

I thought it moved...and I thought there was tension with what was going on.  It isn't action packed, but I still think it is good.  I liked it anyway.
