Brittany's Christmas Concert
« on: December 19, 2008, 03:37:23 AM »
Well... I just got back from watching Brittany sing in her school's Christmas concert. And I thought I would play proud papa. I took lots of pictures plus 1 movie of them doing Silent Night.

This first picture I snapped when I spotted Brittany sitting in the auditorium waiting for her group's turn.

Here they are just about to start a song.

While Singing their Song.

Next up was the 8th Grade Band.

4 Beautiful Young Ladies that performed a somewhat sexy Christmas Song. (This was a little awkward for them you could tell they were nervous.)

Getting ready to sing along with the High School students (red robes).

This Young Lady is the leader of the High School Marching Band... They performed in the aisles... but I could not get pictures as I was sitting on the aisle... so they were right on top of me.

For the last song all the groups performed together... unfortunately this time Britt got pushed towards the back of the group.

OK... those are the pictures I chose to resize and share this time around. I also wanted to share the movie I took... but at this time it is still uploading to Youtube. If it doesn't finish too soon I will post it in the morning.

:redcard: caught you on a lie here!

I really don't think you had to "play" proud papa, you know you are one! :P

Thanks for sharing Pete.

No comment!  :P

I am a little bummed though... after letting the movie upload all night I woke this morning and it still wasn't uploaded. So I give up trying now.

I don't know how big the file is, but if you want, just go to http://www.yousendit.com/ and send it to me. I'll host it for you.

Thanks... I appreciate the offer. But think I will just put it off for now... not really wanting to deal with uploading a 200mb+  file right now. That is why I was doing it over night... so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

In whatever software you use to get the file off your camera, is there an option to process it at lower Internet quality? Might knock the file-size down to half but lose no discernible quality.

The file is probably in JPEG-Motion format - basically a series of full resolution images - instead of a motion optimized video format.

You could use something like Super to transcode it to a more friendly codec - like xvid or wmv.

Thanks Sébastien! I am trying to upload it to Youtube again now. I changed it to xvid codec and resized it to about half the size the camera took... now it is about 30mb.

What did you use in the end to convert the video?
