Beverly Hills Cop III, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Beverly Hills Cop III: Widescreen Collection Year: 1994 Director: John Landis Rating: R Length: 104 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, French: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: English Stars: Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley Jon Tenney as Levine Joey Travolta as Giolito Eugene Collier as Leppert Jimmy Ortega as Rondell Plot: Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) journeys back to Beverly Hills for a real roller coaster thrill ride at the Wonderworld amusement park! Joined by old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Serge (Bronson Pinchot), Axel becomes the hottest new attraction as he chases down the bad guys on the rides, through the shows and in the underground maze beneath the park. Beverly Hills Cop III is a "wild, funny action comedy"* that will have you hooked for the whole ride! * Bill Diehl, ABC Radio Network Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Production Notes Interviews Closed Captioned My Thoughts: While still entertaining... I this is my least favorite of the three movies. It is still worth watching every once in a while... but I didn't care too much for the storyline. The jokes they are using seemed recycled from the previous movies. But it still has a few decent laughs. The action isn't quite as good in this one either... but there is still some to enjoy. But watching this one you can tell why it is the last one in the series. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Anything Goes on April 3rd, 2010) 10 Things I Hate About You, a review by TomTitle: 10 Things I Hate About You Year: 1999 Director: Gil Junger Rating: FSK-12 Length: 93 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85 Audio: German: Dolby Digital 5.1, English: Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish: Dolby Digital 5.1 Subtitles: Croatian, Danish, English, Finnish, German, Greek, Hebrew, Icelandic, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish Stars: Heath Ledger Julia Stiles Joseph Gordon-Levitt Larisa Oleynik David Krumholtz Plot: A cool cast of young stars is just one of the things you'll love about this hilarious comedy hit. On the first day at his new school, Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, - Halloween: H20, TV's 3rd Rock From The Sun) instantly falls for Bianca (Larisa Oleynik - The Baby Sitters Club), the gorgeous girl of his dreams. The only problem is that Bianca is forbidden to date until her ill-tempered, completely un-dateable older sister Kat (Julia Stiles - Wide Awake) goes out, too. In an attempt to solve his problem, Cameron singles out the only guy who could possibly be a match for Kat: a mysterious bad-boy (Heath Ledger - The Patriot) with a nasty reputation of his own. Also featuring a hip soundtrack - this witty comedy is a wildly entertaining look at exactly how far some guys will go to get a date. Awards:
Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: One of my favorite teen comedies. One of the last one before teen comedies equaled cross-out humor.I also always loved the music selection. And also strangely this is the role of Heath Ledger I will always associate him with. It may be because this is the first movie I saw him in. I Only Have Eyes For You (1998-04-28) Writer: Joss Whedon (Created By), Marti Noxon (Writer) Director: James Whitmore Jr. Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), David Boreanaz (Angel), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Meredith Salinger (Grace Newman), Christopher Gorham (James Stanley), John Hawkes (George), Miriam Flynn (Ms. Frank), Brian Reddy (Police Chief Bob), James Marsters (Spike), Juliet Landau (Drusilla), Armin Shimerman (Principal Snyder), Brian Poth (Fighting Boy), Sarah Bibb (Fighting Girl), James Lurie (Mr. Miller), Ryan Taszreak (Ben), Anna Coman-Hidy (50's Girl #1), Vanessa Bednar (50's Girl #2) A good episode. I especially like the fact, that Angel and Buffy switch the (gender) role at the re-enactment at the end. Rating: (From Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon on February 15th, 2009) |
