Bride Wars, a review by KinkyCyborgBride Wars Title:Bride Wars Year: 2009 Director: Gary Winick Rating: PG Length: 90 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, Spanish: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars: Kate Hudson Anne Hathaway Bryan Greenberg Chris Pratt Steve Howey Plot:Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes My Thoughts: BFFs Kate Hudson & Anne Hathaway square off against one another when their weddings get double booked at The Plaza Hotel on the same day. Good movie with a predictable finish. The back and forth treachery between the two was quite humorous. In the battle of the babes Anne Hathaway wins hands down. She is gorgeous! Kate Hudson is nothing to sneeze at either but for me brunette is best. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.40 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, German: Dolby Digital Mono, Spanish: Dolby Digital Mono, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish Stars: Audrey Hepburn Rex Harrison Stanley Holloway Wilfrid Hyde-White Gladys Cooper Extras: Audrey Hepburn Original Singing Commentary Featurettes Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: A musical I have enjoyed since I have first seen this movie. I even did watch this musical in a well-done stage version once.As it is well-known, Audrey Hepburn's singing voice was replaced by the voice of Marni Nixon. In the special features section there are two songs where we get to hear Hepburn's original singing voice intact. I think they could have at least kept her voice for the first part of the movie, where Eliza is still her old self. I think her voice would have fit perfectly there. Good thing The Flash can cover a lot of ground! Guest Stars: Ian Buchanan as Stan Kovacs Michael Green as Mitch Lestrange Clarence Clemons as Darrell Hennings Vito D'Ambrosio as Bellows Elizabeth Gracen as Celia Wayne My Thoughts: Another episode I enjoyed. I really liked the story... it did a good job of keeping me interested through-out the episode. This episode also gives us some background info on Barry Allen... talking about his college days.
