My Thoughts:
I never even heard of this movie before it was given to me this past September... and only first watched the trailer for it yesterday. The trailer looked really good to me... but I was quickly warned that I really have to pay attention to this movie as it can get pretty strange and hard to follow. But I didn't find that to be true watching it...I was able to follow it just fine. But then again... once I started watching it I was hooked. It kept my attention from beginning to the end. And I enjoyed it quite a bit. I found myself fascinated by the storyline. I can definitely see myself watching this one again.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Runaway Bride, a review by addicted2dvd

Runaway Bride
"Roberts and Gere confirm their status as an eternal screen team" in this delightful laugh-filled romantic comedy. Roberts plays small-town girl Maggie Carpenter, whose marches down the aisle become a series of near Mrs. when she bolts before saying "I do." Gere is Ike Graham, a cynical, big-city newspaper columnist eager to write a tell-all story about Maggie. But the more Ike finds out about skittish Maggie, the more he finds he's falling in love.

My Thoughts:
This is one I haven't seen in many years. And it was better then I remembered it being. I really enjoyed it. There is a familiar face in this one. Laurie Metcalf (Jackie on Roseanne) The odd thing about that is that she has a rather large part... but wasn't credited in the movie credits. I think it is a fun storyline and both Julia Roberts and Richard Gere did a fine job in it.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Sliders

What's the show about?
Quinn Mallory and his friends travel through alternate universes. But there are a few catches. But they cannot control when they have to "slide" or where they are going to land. Nor do they find the way to their own homeworld. Every universe can be totally different from what they know or it's really close to their own reality.

"Pilot"
Quinn Mallory tried to invent an anti-gravity machine but came up with something totally different. Without knowing where his jump would end he jumps through a wormhole and ends up in his basement - right where he started. But he has soon to learn that this is not his basement - at least not his-his. After having successfully returned to his own reality he invites his professor for physics and his friend Wade for another trip...

My Opinion
I really liked the show until the season where the professor died and Wade disappeared. After that the show lost it's touch especially with the Kromaggs.
