My Thoughts:
Land of the Dead is an awesome work of art! George A. Romero is a true Master of Horror!!! In Land of the Dead the zombies are starting to evolve... they are starting to communicate with each other... learning to use basic tools... just basically learning to think. Which, of course, is nothing but trouble for the human race.

There was a few noticeable cameos in this one. First I talked about Tom Savini being one of the biker gang in the original Dawn of the Dead.. he returns here in Land of the Dead... two movies later... as a Zombie... same character... still with Machete in hand. Also... 2 members of the British spoof of Dawn of the Dead... Shaun of the Dead.. got a cameo as zombies as well. It was said in one of the extras that George A. Romero loved the movie Shaun of the Dead and he was pleased to give them a cameo in his newest Zombie movie. Needless to say... but this is another movie I Highly Recommend!

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

New in Town, a review by Rich

Title: New in Town

Runtime:96
Certificate:PG
Year:2009
Genres:Comedy, Romance

Plot:My Review:
Tired old format - high flier goes to sleepy old town to close down friendly old business, only to fall in love with the place, and a person in it, then proceed to save the day by finding amazing new concept and making company a roaring sucess, and they all live happily ever after.
Zellweger always suits such roles, and is comfortable in the lead, but I found Connick wooden and unconvincing as her love interest. JK Simmons as always injects class, and in general the cast work well together with a fairly dull script.
Not an awful film, there are some genuinely funny moments, and it is better than some out there, but I would recommend Kinky Boots and Spotswood ahead of this.

Monster Squad
Episode 3
The Tickler
Original Air Date: 09/25/1976
The Tickler (Ivor Francis), a man unable to laugh, captures the Monster Squad in his tickle machine...

My Thoughts:
When this originally aired I was only 7 years old. It really is no more then a children's show. I was basically the right age (around 7) when this originally aired. This series really has nothing for the adult who never seen the series before. You would look at this and basically think silly kid show. It would still entertain the 5-8yr old kids I believe... but other then that... this set is good for nothing more then nostalgia. This show lasted one season back in 1976. The very next year the star of the show (Fred Grady) went to the series The Love Boat as Gopher.  This is no more then a silly show where a group of monsters go up against silly ('60s Batman style) super-villains. with the help of the night watchman (who woke them)... trying to show the world that monsters is not something you need to be scared of. This is definitely a show I couldn't watch very often. It is really of no use other then something to laugh at... to laugh at the silly stuff we watched as a little kid.

My Rating: (Would be lower... but gave an extra point for childhood Nostalgia)
