Plot:
On a dark autumn eve, a college student finds a mysterious book in his campus library. Within it's pages he finds four gruesome tales of ghosts, werewolves, vampires and the unknown.

My Thoughts:
This movie is in a cheap boxset I got from Mills Creek called Mortuary of Madness. This movie is an Anthology. It has 4 stories in the one movie. The wrap around story pretty much sucked. Basically non-existent as it was no more then a guy finding a hand-written book in the library and he was reading the stories that someone wrote in the notebook. The first story I didn't care for at all really. It was more confusing then anything. I still not sure what it was I watched to be honest. By this time I was thinking another looser of a movie. Then it went back to the guy reading the book in the library... he turns the page and you see the title and a drawing of a werewolf.  I like werewolves so I decided to continue to watch. Now this story... while it took a few minutes.. it just grabbed me. I found myself enjoying this movie... I thought cool! The third story is a ghost story. Now this one I really loved! I was actually glued to the TV off one of these movies!?!? What a pleasant surprise. The fourth and final story in this anthology is a vampire story. This one I didn't care as much for as I did stories numbers 2 & 3... but it is definitely quite a bit better then the first one.

The movie itself actually has a feel of a student movie. Definitely low budget... the acting is fair at best... and the effects are almost non-existent. But the stories... these stories are more then enjoyable... they were definitely well done. Well...except for the first one and the wrap around anyway. I am really pleasantly surprised to be able to give this movie such a high rating (Probably too high of a rating). Especially considering that the acting and the effects both need help. But for me at least... the writer(s) made this film. So much so that you really don't care about the downfalls of the movie.

Plot:
Paul Keller is a minister who has found himself heavily involved in a illicit affair with his son's teacher. Unable to see an end to his deceptive and sinful path, he concocts a scheme to fake his own death. However, his cunning plan goes awry and he is left with no recollection of himself or his former life.

Ally Sheedy (The Breakfast Club, Short Circuit, War Games) John Savage (The Deer Hunter, Hair, TThe Thin Red Line), and Sally Kirkland (General Hospital, Bruce Almighty, JFK) star in this film about unholy love and the consequences it can bring about.

Save for an inspired performance by Sally Kirkland as a demented Motel owner who holds captive a philandering pastor who has lost his memory, this is a major crapfest. Short, clipped dialogue throughout, and awful performances from Ally Sheedy and John Savage whom you would expect better from.

As the title would recommend, best to 'forget' about this one.

Babylon 5: Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Synopsis: The attacks on alliance ships have been increased and the alliance races point fingers at each other of who is being repsonsible for the attackes. And the blips have made things worse because they spied on the ambassadors and have stolen their secrets to ransom a homeworld of their own. Meanwhile Londo and his bodyguard G'Kar have arrived on Centauri Prime where the regent seems to be under the influence of a foraign power.

My opinion: Now we know that the Centauri or at least a part of them is behind the attacks and that the regent is influenced and so will his successor as seen in "War Without End". But this episode also marks the beginning of the end. From now on more and more main characters will leave Babylon 5.


Synopsis: The teeps are becoming a real problem to Captain Lochley, especially since they've threatened to reveal the secrets of the ambassadors. Lochley asks Bester for help and he comes again to the station. Meanhwile Londo and G'Kar discover a forgotten prisoner in one of the palace's prison cells.

My opinion: Teeps again, but at least the Londo/G'Kar story was worth watching and funny to see how Londo got the prisoner out of the palace.


Synopsis: Bester and his Bloodhound units hunt one part of the teeps down, while the other has sealed themselves off and has gone to a hunger strike. But the first group takes hostages, Michael and Stephen among them and Byron (who is with the second group) has to act.

My opinion: Byron and his storyarc is gone! Good riddance! Now the season can really begin and it sadly does this with Michael starting to drink again.


Synopsis: While G'Kar was on Centauri Prime, his book, the "Book of G'Kar" has been gotten in the hands of other Narns and they copied it - about 500 to 600,000 times. G'Kar is treated like a religious icon although he does not want to be. Meanwhile another attack on a ship has taken place and this time there was a survivor. Garibaldi gets the job of getting him out of the Drazi homeworld.

My opninion: Now Sheridan knows that a fraction of the Centauri is involved but I worry for Michael who's drinking more and more. It was a good episode, better than the last ones.
