Plot: A desperate solution for a troubled country: Lex Luthor for president with the Justice League in the service of the government. Only Batman and Superman stand against the new regime - and their disloyalty proves to be exactly what Luthor intended. Using their outcast status to instigate a scandal against Superman, Luthor finally tastes a victory in his vendetta against the Man of Steel. From Executive Producer Bruce Timm and voiced by the cast from both hit Batman and Superman animated TV series including Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly and Clancy Brown, this DC Universe Original Animated Movie based on Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuiness's popular graphic novel seethes with Political intrigue and action-packed battles between heroes all believing they're on the right side of the law. Extras: Bonus Trailers Featurettes Interviews 2 Bonus Cartoons, Digital Copy. My Thoughts: This one was a blind buy. Before watching it I never even seen a trailer for it. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I liked how they had so many heroes and villains from the DC Universe. Some of which I was familiar with... some I was not. I was a little concerned when I read the storyline and seen they made Lex Luthor president. But I found the story to be very entertaining. I am not sure if this one is based on a series of the comic books or not as I don't read comics... so I can't say how or if it compares. But if you like some of the other superhero animated movies out there... I would recommend this one as well. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: TV Stars in the Movies on March 6th, 2010) Clash of the Titans (2010), a review by DragonfireI went to see Clash of the Titans last week. I have seen the original several different times on television, but it has been so long, that I've forgotten most of it. From what I remember, the basic story has stayed the same, though I thought Perseus went on the quests and stuff in the original because he wanted to marry Andromeda, not because he wanted vengeance against Hades. There isn't a lot of background for the characters, though enough is done to set up the motivation for what Perseus does. The plot really isn't that complicated even though a lot of things happen. Action and the special effects receive way more attention than plot and character development. I did sort of expect that before seeing the movie. The effects are done well, though there are so many obvious effects shots that they lose impact after a while. The different monsters and creatures do look cool, though I really could have done without seeing so much of Medusa. I didn't see this one in 3D..I didn't want to because of Medusa and my snake issues. The cast is all right, though no one really stands out that much for me. Even though the movie has issues, it is entertaining overall. This is one I would have rated 3.5 stars on Epinions if I had the option. Since I don't, I rounded up to 4. I did get a review posted on Epinions if anyone would like to take a look. Clash of the Titans (From Clash of the Titans (2010) on April 29th, 2010) Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdSeason 2: Disc 5: EPISODE 17: ROSETTA Determined to find out where he came from, Clark travels to New York to meet Dr. Virgil Swann (Christopher Reeve), a brilliant scientist who possesses a message for Clark from his home planet. My Thoughts: Another really good episode... but then how could you not like an episode of Christopher Reeve in it? I loved that homage to the Superman movies by having a clip of the Superman theme playing in the background. EPISODE 18: VISITOR Perhaps Clark is not alone on Planet Earth. A student with unusual interests and powers believes he's an alien - and he wants Clark to help him return to his far-off home world. My Thoughts: An OK episode... nothing really special here. EPISODE 19: PRECIPICE Clark must do community service and his family is slapped with a lawsuit after he roughs up men who hassled Lana. Lex tries to protect Helen from a deranged former boyfriend. My Thoughts: Again a decent episode ... nothing too special... other then it being the first episode where Lana starts to learn self defense. I have to admit though... I don't care much for the new sheriff. EPISODE 20: WITNESS Thugs who dain enormous strength by inhaling kryptonite mist leave Clark feeling powerless when they attack Jonathan and Martha. Lionel has a manipulative offer for Chloe. My Thoughts: This is a good episode... I enjoyed it. This is the start of a little feud between Clark and Chloe... which I don't care for... and it goes further then it should of... but it does make for a good storyline.
