Meet The Spartans, a review by Jimmy

Title : Meet The Spartans (2008)

Overview
The battle begins when the heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing but leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13 - count'em, 13! - warriors to defend their homeland against the invading Persians, whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton!

My Impression
I like this one, but maybe there is a logic explaination :hmmmm: This is my third one today in 9 hours, so my brain maybe had decided to go on vacancy OR the film is good for real OR we see more of Carmen Electra and more often... I've my idea of why

Don't take my introduction that serious, this isn't hard to be better than the 2 previous one. But this one had a story and they follow it and the story is funny in a dumb way. Evidently we got again the stupid non sense celebrity of the day get thrown at us for no real reason, but that didn't happen too often. The difference is that this time real actors are in the cast and that gives a more professional look. Kevin Sorbo is far from his Hercule days but he is better than any actors who had appear in the previous movies, Ken Davitian had some good line and Sean Maguire is good in the lead. The rest of the cast isn't important, but without the talents of Carmen Electra the movie would be certainly less interesting. The American Idol segment at the end isn't to bad too.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, a review by RossRoy

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

WHAT THEY SAY
Jason Voorhees, the living, breathing essence of evil, is back for another fierce fling. Tracked down and blown to bits by a special FBI task force, everyone now assumes that he's finally dead. But everybody assumes wrong. Jason has been reborn with the bone-chilling ability to assume the identity of anyone he touches. The terrifying truth is he could be anywhere. Or anybody.

In this shocking, bloody soaked installment to Jason's carnage-ridden reign of terror, the secret of his unstoppable killing instinct is finally revealed. And one you know the chilling facts, you'll see him in your nightmares. And he'll see you in hell!

MY THOUGHTS
Three words: What .... the .... Hell !! (no pun intended)

What have they done? Talk about ruining a character and undermining a whole series of film! See that thing coming out of Jason' eye on the cover? Yeah, it's in the movie!

What were they thinking? It makes the rest of the series make no sense at all!

(click to show/hide)

Ugh!! I can't even put into words my disgust for this movie. Sure, it's got some decent special effects, it more recent after all, the whole story is so silly and disconnected from it all, it's not even funny!

There's a thread over at Invelos about which movie you want to burn and throw away right now? I guess this is it!

Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom

05. Rm w/a Vu (1999-11-02)
Writer: Joss Whedon (Created By), David Greenwalt (Created By), David Greenwalt (Writer), Jane Espenson (Writer)
Director: Scott McGinnis
Cast: David Boreanaz (Angel), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), Glenn Quinn (Doyle), Elisabeth Rohm (Kate Lockley), Beth Grant (Maude Pearson), Marcus Redmond (Griff), Denney Pierce (Vic), Greg Collins (Keith), Corey Klemow (Young Man), Lara McGrath (Manager), B.J. Porter (Dennis)

A good episode. I like how Cordelia refuses to give up the apartment even if it has an evil ghost. And I always liked the idea of Phantom Dennis.
In this episode it became quite obvious though, that we still have a very small ensemble cast. Only three people. In later seasons Angel is known for having a very big set of regular characters.
