Plot:
When a small-town idealist (Gary Cooper) goes to New York to collect a $20 million inheritance, he finds romance with wisecracking journalist Jean Arthur, becomes the target of ruthless businessmen and relatives, and finally decides to give his fortune away because it's so much trouble. This milestone film is one of the most charming and best-loved romantic comedies ever made.

Extras:

My Thoughts:
A classic comedy which did enjoy this time just as much, as when I first saw it. I like the fact, although Longfellow Deeds is potrayed as a little naive (as in not up with the city people), he is acutely aware, when he is made fun of and counters well.
The showdown of the movie takes in a court room, where is antagonists try to get him declared insane. Although this court room scene takes about 40 minutes, and never gets boring.

2046, a review by Jon

2046
4 out of 5

'2046' continues the story of Chow Mo Wan (Tony Leung - 'Hero') from Wong Kar-Wai's previous film, 'In The Mood For Love', a few years after his ephemeral affair with Maggie Cheung's Su Li-zhen. Set in late-1960's Hong Kong, Chow is now an out of work journalist and pulp fiction writer living in a cheap hotel. Bruised and battered by love, he pursues a playboy lifestyle of zero commitment and one-night stands. He develops a passion for a beautiful call girl (Zhang ZiYi - 'House Of The Flying Daggers'), enjoys a breezy summer with the hotel manager's eldest daughter (Faye Wong), and happens across the path of a professional gambler (Gong Li) who he met in Singapore some years before. In the meantime, Chow works on a science fiction novel about a mysterious hi-tech train that transports people to the year 2046 to reclaim their lost memories.

In The Mood For LoveTaxi Driver and GoodfellasIn The Mood For LoveCrouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and her character of Bai Ling ranges from fiercely confident to fragile. Really amazing performance.

As a film in its own right, it is quite brilliant and unique. As a sequel it is fascinating. Only in direct comparison with the peerless In The Mood For Love does it falter.

My Thoughts:
I just finished this set. After a four year break since watching season 5... I finally got season 6 to watch. And I must say... I forgot how much I enjoyed this show! Once I started to watch it... I just couldn't stop till I finished the set. This show has a great cast... including one of my all-time favorite actresses.... Catherine Bell. I am thrilled I have the next season (possibly the next 2 seasons) coming my way soon from a trade I made... as this season ends in a heck of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see how it concludes. Unfortunately this set don't have any special features what so ever. This is definitely a series I would recommend.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
