Plot:
Buckle up and prepare for a ride that's out of this world! When Earth is threatened with imminent destruction, an out-of-shape, out-of-work and over-the-hill former superhero is called back into action to save the day.

That hero is Jack Sheppard a.k.a "Captain Zoom" (Tim Allen). The problem is he's lost all his powers. And now, it's up to General Larraby (Rip Torn) and Dr. Grant (Chevy Chase) to coax him into taking one more mission: train a ragtag bunch of kids with amazing superpowers of their own. With help from the brainy Marsha Holloway (Courteney Cox), they'll learn to work as a team and harness their powers to battle an evil menace who's determined to make one seriously huge mess of life as we know it.

I cannot believe that this movie has such a bad rep. I really enjoyed it. It was much more fun than expected. Little Cindy is a riot. Also the rest of the cast is fun to watch. And why was Tim Allen nominated for worst actor? He was perfect for the role of a washed-up superhero. Reminded me a little of his role in Galaxy Quest.

Overview	The new family adventure Journey 2: The Mysterious Island begins when seventeen-year-old Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. Unable to stop him from tracking the signal to its source, Sean's new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest that will take them first to the South Pacific, and then to a place few people have ever seen. Or lived to tell about. It's a place of stunning beauty, strange and threatening life forms, volcanoes, mountains of gold and more than one astonishing secret. Together with Gabato (Luis Guzmán), the only helicopter pilot willing to risk the trip, and Gabato's beautiful, strong-willed daughter Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone human inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island underwater and bury its treasures forever, in this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit Journey to the Center of the Earth.
My thoughts	This is another of those movies that I wasn’t sure about, so I waited until I could get it relatively cheap. This is also a case of setting my expectations low. I like Jules Verne. I have read The Mysterious Island, although it was long ago. I also read the Illustrated Classic when I was a kid, and I have seen the 1961 Harryhausen film, the 2005 Hallmark TV version and the 1995 TV series. None of them follow Verne’s book very closely, and this one certainly doesn’t either. Being quite recent, it’s no big surprise that this movie has the better special effects. But good special effects does not equal a good movie. We have seen this over and over. Is Josh Hutcherson a good actor? If he is, he certainly doesn’t show it in this movie. Dwayne Johnson can be good in action movies, but isn’t good here. And Michael Caine is pretty much wasted. The less said about Luis Guzmán, the better. And you know something must be wrong in a movie when Vanessa Hudgens comes off as the least irritating character... The script varies between silly and ludicrous, but at least it seldom gets boring. So, if you can put your brain in neutral for an hour and a half (at least it’s not overly long), then it can be an acceptable time killer. But hardly anything more than that. If you want a good Mysterious Island, go with Harryhausen. It’s not Verne’s Mysterious Island, but in spite of Harryhausen’s creatures it’s probably the closest you get. The TV series is also quite entertaining, but it certainly isn’t Verne. Still, either of them is better than this mess. Definitely avoid the Hallmark version, though!

NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

5. DEAD AND UNBURIED
A missing Marine's body is found in a vacant home after he was deployed to Iraq but never showed up for duty.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. I liked the story quite a bit. Thought it was hilarious both McGee and Tony just stood there watching/ttaping the catfight. And I have to say I liked how Abbey saw art in that one picture McGee took that looked like a corpse sitting there in front of a TV like he just sat there and watched TV till he died.

6. WITCH HUNT
On Halloween night a Marine is attacked in his home and his daughter is kidnapped. Meanwhile, McGee and Tony are rendered speechless by Abby's Halloween costume.

My Thoughts:
Anyone that knows me... knows I loved this episode. I love anything to do with Halloween and Horror. Not only does this one have a good story... it has some pretty cool costumes. I especially loved our Goth forensic scientist Abbey dressed up as Marylin Monroe.

7. SANDBLAST
An explosion on a military golf course kills a Marine colonel and the NCIS team must work with the Army Criminal Investigative Unit to find the killer. Romance is in the air for both Gibbs and Tony.

My Thoughts:
This episode has a really good story. I really felt for the teent that was there when the colonel got caught in that explosion... and the effect it had on him. I thought it was a good scene between the teen and Tony.

My Rating:

8. ONCE A HERO
A former decorated Marine falls to his death at a hotel in Washington, D.C. The NCIS team works to clear the veteran's name after they discover suspicious activity surrounding his death.

My Thoughts:
I really felt this one was more of an average episode. I mean it was enjoyable... but nothing special about it. Felt more like a filler story to me then anything else.
