Their only hope is dream researcher and fellow survivor Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp of the original Nightmare), who helps them battle the supernatural psycho on his own hellish turf.

Starring Patricia Arquette (Ed Wood, True RomanceThe Matrix, Hoodlum) and directed by Chuck Russell (The Mask, Eraser), "Dream Warriors is both a horrific and hysterical trip!" (L.A. Herald-Examiner).

My Thoughts:
This is another of my favorite "Nightmare" movies. I love all the things the kids learned they could do in their dreams. Plus this one has one of my favorite actresses in it... Patricia Arquette. I have been a fan of hers since the first time I saw her TV Series "Medium". This movie is the start of Freddy being more comical. Which I don't mind at all... but I do think I liked how he was in the first part better.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Edge of Tomorrow, a review by GSyren

Edge of Tomorrow (aka Live Die Repeat) (5-051892-163484)
United States 2014 | Released 2014-10-13 on Bluray from Warner Home Video
113 minutes | Aspect ratio 2.40:1 | Audio: English DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1, Audio Descriptive Dolby Digital 5.1, French DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1, Italian Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1
Directed by Doug Liman and starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Brendan Gleeson, Bill Paxton, Jonas Armstrong

An alien race, undefeatable by any existing military unit, has launched a relentless attack on Earth, and Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) finds himself dropped into a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage is thrown into a time loop, forced to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again. Training alongside warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), his skills slowly evolve, and each battle moves them one step closer to defeating the enemy in this fun action thriller.

My thoughts about Edge of Tomorrow (aka Live Die Repeat):
Tom Clancy supposedly once said "The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction has to make sense". I don't know if he actually said that, but I like it. And this is one of the points where Edge of Tomorrow fails. It doesn't make sense, especially not the ending.

The documentary reveals that the script wasn't written when production started. They made it up as they went along. I suspect that this is a major contributing factor to the sloppy ending. I'm sorely tempted to buy the book ("All You Need is Kill") that the story is based on, just to learn how it should have ended.

Also, time travel is a tricky subject for me. I find that it works best in comedy or full on fantasy. In a sci-fi movie that tries to emulate the feeling of WWII, albeit in the future, it feels a bit out of place.

Then, of course, there is the matter of the CGI effects.  Too many movies today suffer from "too-much-ities", and this one is no different. This just takes me out of the story. For me, less is more.

As for the actors I really liked Bill Paxton as Master Sergeant Farrell. And Tom Cruise is just Tom Cruise. Anyway, what could have been a great film was reduced to a rather mediocre experience by the script and the CGI.
I rate this title

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 6: Disc 3

8. Smashed
Spike discovers that his chip now allows him to hurt Buffy; it seems Buffy came back wrong somehow. Willow reverts Amy to human form and the two party with magic.

My Thoughts:
This was another good episode. Obviously Willow goes nuts with her magic addiction.

9. Wrecked
Willow nearly gets Dawn killed after going to see a warlock for a dose of magic, and thus decides to go told turkey on the magic.

My Thoughts:
This is also a good episode. This is the episode that Willow hits rock bottom.

10. Gone
A social services worker threatens to take guardianship of Dawn. Meanwhile, the Geek Trio accidentally turn Buffy invisible with a ray gun.

My Thoughts:
This is another one of those episodes that is little more then just fun. I try and try... but I just can't take the Trio seriously.

Season 6: Disc 4

11. Doublemeat Palace
The Slayer takes a job at a burger joint, and suspects that something demonic might be going on.

My Thoughts:
This is one of the ones that is a decent episode... but just nothing all that special about it. Just a basic good episode.

12. Dead Things
Warren kills Katrina and frames the Slayer for it.

My Thoughts:
Decent episode... and at least the Trio is finally seems somewhat evil and slightly more serious in this episode.

13. Older and Far Away
Dawn feels like the odd-girl out on Buffy's birthday, leading to a fateful wish that leaves the Slayer and her friends trapped in the Summers' home with a demon.

My Thoughts:
Ahhh.... Another Buffy Birthday episode... these are always entertaining. I felt they had a good concept for this one... and was really into it. Though I do have to admit I think the way it ended and how they finally got out of the house a little bit of a cop-out.

14. As You Were
Buffy is jolted by the reappearance of Riley, who needs her to help him - and his new wife - track a demon egg nest.

My Thoughts:
And Riley is back.... for what I believe is the final time in the rest of the series. Also (if I am not mistaking) the end of the Buffy/Spike sexapades.  A decent episode... though nothing too special.
