Overview
My thoughts	It's been 50 years since the death of John F. Kennedy, and it's been 50 years since this film premiered (it opened just a few months before JFK was killed). So it seemed appropriate to watch this film now. It is a fairly typical Hollywood World War II movie. I assume that the basic story is historically correct, but it's impossible for me to know exactly how much artistic license have been taken in the details. The incidents described in the story are not of any great importance, and I think it's safe to say that they would have gone more or less unnoticed if it weren't for the fact that the captain of that motor torpedo boat went on to become president of the United States. Still, the film is not without merit. It is entertaining, if a bit too long for my taste. Cliff Robertson is quite good as Kennedy, albeit a bit too old for the part. We also have Robert Blake (Baretta), Normal Fell, Ty Hardin, Robert Culp and James Gregory, all good actors. The DVD is part of Warner Achive Collection, so new special features except a trailer. The picture quality is very good, and the film is presented in the correct widescreen aspect ratio. A pleasant enough movie experience if you like old WWII movies.

Mary Lane (Kristen Bell) and Jimmy Harper (Christian Campbell), who fall under the spell of the public's enemy #1 and quickly find themselves in a world of evil jazz music, dance and madness. Filled with outrageously funny and musical performances by Neve Campbell, Christian Campbell, Kristen Bell and Steven Weber, Reefer Madness is the feel good event of the year that should not be missed!

I have watched this now for the 6th time, but it continues to be such an entertaining blast that sweps me away every time with its mix of goofiness, satire and energetic musical numbers. I'm almost tempted to state something absolute like: Best. Musical. Ever. At least it is certainly much funnier than "Rocky Horror" and "Little Shop" combined (to both of which it owns a little debt).

BTW, as a teaser for those of you who don't like musicals, but can occassionally be found here drooling over pretty lady pictures: Can you really say No to a scene with Kristen Bell as a dominatrix?

Part 1
When ex-cop turned private investigator, Vicki Nelson, happens upon the scene of a terrifying murder, she's hired by the victim's girlfriend to prove that her boyfriend was killed by a vampire. As Vicki pursues the investigation further, she crosses paths with someone else investigating the case fir his own reasons.

Part 2
Vicki finds that her most dangerous mission might be to sort out her romantic feelings for her ex-partner on the force, Mike Celluci, and for her new partner, the dashing vampire, Henry Fitzroy.

My Thoughts:
This is a show I bought blind this past month for my horror marathon. This is the first chance I got to watch any of it. I enjoyed the 2 part pilot... I am just trying to decide how much. It definitely could be better... but at the same time it is a pretty good introduction to the characters. I have a feeling it will grow on me more as I watch the episodes.
