Plot:
A CULT CLASSIC OF GOOEY GREATNESS, The Blob follows the havoc wreaked on a small town by an outer-space monster with neither soul nor vertebrae, with Steve McQueen playing a rebel teenager who tries to warn the residents about the jellylike invader. Strong performances and ingenious special effects help The Blob transcend the schlock sci-fi and youth delinquency genres from which it originates. Made outside of Hollywood by a maverick film distributor and a crew whose credits mostly comprised religious and educational shorts, The Blob helped launch the careers of McQueen and composer Burt Bacharach, whose bouncy title song is just one of this film's many unexpected pleasures.

My Thoughts:
While I have seen the remake several times... this is the first time I have gotten to see the original. And I must say, I enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely prefer this one over the remake. I never realized till now that the original was in color. All these years I thought t was a B&W film. Anyway, if you haven't seen it yet I recommend this one. I watched a friend's copy... so hoping to add it to my collection before too long.

Length: 81 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85
Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1
Subtitles: English, Spanish

Plot:
Miss Katz (Zooey Deschanel) desperately wants her boyfriend to ditch his dead-end job at Flakes--a bohemian cereal shop. So when an eager young businessman opens a rip-off version of this beloved neighborhood hang, Miss Katz joins the competition to bury Flakes. Stand-offs, sit-ins, pranks and clever revenge will result in victory for one half of the feisty couple, but it may just leave their relationship all soggy!

Extras:
Deleted Scenes
Trailers

My Thoughts:
Another movie I am disappointed in. I bought it, because I am a fan of Zooey Deschanel and Christopher Lloyd. The movie feels like a Clerks ripoff without the witty dialog. Christopher Lloyd plays essentially his Taxi character.
Next I will have to watch a movie I know I like from my unwatched pile before I loose interest in this marathon

Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvd

21 Jump Street
It all begins here, as baby-faced rookie Officer Tom Hanson (Johnny Depp) is assigned to an elite squad of young undercover cops - Judy Hoffs (Holly Robison Peete), Doug Penhall (Peter DeLuise) and Harry Truman Ioki (Dustin Nguyen) - to infiltrate high schools and fight crime. Frederic Forrest and Steven Williams co-star in this classic first season that also features such guest stars as Jason Priestley, Josh Brolin, David Paymer, Sherilyn Fenn and Blair Underwood in what became Fox's first runaway hit and remains on of the coolest cop shows in TV history!

Pilot (Part 1 & 2)

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed re-watching this pilot. They did a good job at introducing all the characters. I liked how it followed how Hanson got into the Jumpstreet program. I kinda wish it showed that for all the characters... but they had so a good and already full 2-part pilot episode that I can understand why they didn't. When I originally watched this show I never cared for the hippie captain of the Jumpstreet program. But I did get used to him. And no sooner I got used to him they replaced him. Go figure!
