Bobby, a review by Rich

Title: Bobby

Runtime:117
Certificate:R
Year:2006
Genres:Drama

Plot:My Review:
Yes, this movie has an amazing cast, it literally drips with big names, as Estevez/Sheen use their influence to bag the stars. However the class stops with the actors, as the storyline is dull, meaningless and bitty. The potential for some meaningful drama injected into an important part of US history is lost, as the 'director' chooses to concentrate on a multitude of other small surrounding stories that are so disjointed that you soon lose interest in the whole production.
The soundtrack was wonderful, perfect accompaniment to a better film. The flashbacks to Kennedy and his speeches were inspirational and thought-provoking, and highlighted what a waste this movie is of a much better story that could have been told. It actually felt like a soap opera, and probably should have been run on TV accordingly.
Damn shame - disappointing.

My Thoughts:

Another one of those films with more twists than a giant pretzel. Excellent cast and decent action even if some (most!) of the story was quite implausible. I would have liked to have seen Jeremy Sisto with a more meaningful role in this one...he just hangs there, chained with handcuffs throughout the duration of the movie. Always felt he was an underrated actor who doesn't get enough big screen time. Very much enjoyed him in Six Feet Under. Greg Kinnear was a bit over the top in this one, which I didn't mind as you don't normally see his characters so wild and out of control.

Not bad at all. :)

NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

NCIS: Season 3: Disc 2

5. SWITCH
A murdered petty officer is discovered by the NCIS team to have been leading a double lifer but the man's dying message leads Gibbs and his crew in an entirely different direction.

My Thoughts:
A good... but somewhat standard episode. Feels like a basic filler episode.

My Rating:

6. THE VOYEUR'S WEB
A woman appears to be murdered live on an Internet sex site. Gibbs and his team track down the webmaster and follow the money in order to find the killer.

My Thoughts:
This one is pretty good. I get a kick how Abbey handles having to work with a new assistant.

My Rating:

7. HONOR CODE
In what may or may not be a hoax, a 6-year-old boy informs NCIS that his father, a lieutenant commander who holds the only code to a top-secret program, has been kidnapped.

My Thoughts:
This one is an excellent episode. I really liked the little kid in it. The kid did a great job. I got a chuckle out of Abbey telling gibbs that the kid is like a mini-Gibbs.

My Rating:

8. UNDER COVERS
Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva assume the identities of two murdered assassins and engage in a sexy undercover mission in a lavish hotel suite in order to find who hired the killers.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I liked quite a bit. Ziva and Tony really has some great chemistry together.
