My Thoughts: This is a true Christmas Classic. One I have seen countles times every since I was a little kid and it aired on TV every year. I mean how can you not watch the likes of Rudolph this time of the year? The image and sound on this blu-ray is amazing... easily the best this one has ever looked and sound. My Rating: (From Christmas Reviews 2014 on December 13th, 2014) Starship Troopers, a review by addicted2dvdStarship Troopers From the bridge of the Fleet Battlestation Ticonderoga, with its sweeping galactic views, to the desolate terrain of planet Klendathu, teeming with shrieking, fire-spitting brain-sucking special effects creatures, acclaimed director PAUL VERHOVEN crafts a dazzling epic based on Robert A. Heinlein's classic sci-fi adventure. CASPER VAN DIEN, DINA MEYER, DENISE RICHARDS, JAKE BUSEY, NEIL PATRICK HARRIS, PATRICK MULDOON, and MICHAEL IRONSIDE star as the courageous soldiers who travel to the distant and desolate Klendathu system for the ultimate showdown between the species. My Thoughts: I enjoyed this one... but I have seen better... though I will admit that it is beyond a little far fetched... but I think that is to be expected from anything set in the future. This is a movie that don't take itself too seriously though. It is almost like watching a live-action comic book. Which I guess is what makes it more of a fun watch then anything else. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Outer Space on December 27th, 2008) Tom's TV Finales marathon, a review by Tom
Plot: Hideki Motosuwa is a poor country guy who just moved to the city to further his study. One day on his way home from work, he discovers a 'Persocom', a maiden-shaped robot laying in the dumpster, discarded and wrapped up in bandages. Chobits Writer: ) Director: Cast: An okay episode and it concludes the story. But this series was never one of my favorites. Rating: (From Tom's TV Finales marathon on April 13th, 2013) |
