Notting Hill, a review by TomTitle: Notting Hill Year: 1999 Director: Roger Michell Rating: FSK-0 Length: 119 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1 , German: Dolby Digital 5.1 Subtitles: English, German Stars: Julia Roberts Hugh Grant James Dreyfus Tim McInnerny Gina McKee Plot: The life of a simple bookshop owner changes when he meets the most famous film star in the world. Extras: A Travel Guide to Notting Hill Commentary DVD-ROM Content Production Notes Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: This movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. Every time I watch it, I enjoy it just as much as the first time. This movie is filled some great funny moments. For example the scenes with James Dreyfus (before this movie known to me simply as Constable Goody from the Rowan Atkinson comedy series "The Thin Blue Line"). Or the first meeting of William's family and Anna Scott. Also this romantic comedy has some nice touching moments, especially the ending. My Thoughts: This is the first movie from the region 2 set that was recently given to me. This set contains all 4 movies plus a 5th extras disc. It has been a good couple years since I watched this movie... so I am glad I had a reason to watch it again. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Angus Scrimm did a good job being the Tall Man. I found him to be pretty creepy. But another that I found to be on the creepy side here was the psychic woman and her granddaughter that Mike went to go see early on in the movie. The way they worked off each other I felt was very cool. And of course I liked the signature of the Phantasm movies... the flying ball... "The Orb of Evil" as I just seen it called in the Phantasm III trailer. I really enjoyed every minute of re-watching this movie. Whether you never had the opportunity to see this movie... or it has been many years since you seen it. This is one I would highly recommend.I am now looking forward to checking out the rest of the set. I have seen part 2 before... years ago as well. But to be honest I don't believe I ever seen the last two movies in this film series. Hopefully they don't go downhill too much! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on February 9th, 2013) Grey's Anatomy Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd16. It's the End of the World My Thoughts: This is part one of an outstanding two part episode. Definitely one of my favorites of the 2 seasons I have seen of this show so far. It is a very powerful and emotional episode. My Rating: 17. As We Know it A dangerous situation escalates despite the hospital's "code black" and the local bomb squad's determined efforts. Meredith must team up with the bomb squad while Derek performs an intense surgery under excruciating conditions. My Thoughts: This is second part is just as powerful and emotional as the first. It really was a great continuation of the storyline. The paramedic that had her hand in the patient holding the unexploded missile looked very familiar to me... but I was really drawing a blank. Then I felt like a total idiot when I looked in DVDP to discover it was Christina Ricci that I didn't recognize! How is that even possible? Sit there watching her for 2 episodes and never realizing who it was. Unbelievable! My Rating: 18. Yesterday A visitor from the past, Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane), stirs up Derek and Addison's lives, while Meredith explores her family's dirty laundry and Cristina's secret makes its way to Burke. My Thoughts: This is a good episode with some interesting cases...including a woman that has spontaneous orgasms and a teen boy with bony tumors in his skull making him look somewhat disfigured. As he put it he looked like he had the face of a lion. And then the doctor that Addison cheated on Derek shows up in the hospital. My Rating: 19. What Have I Done to Deserve This? My Thoughts: Pretty much a standard filler episode case wise... but there is advancements in the drama of their personal lives. It is good to see Denny back... as I always liked that storyline. My Rating: 20. Band-Aid Covers the Bullet Hole Izzie bails on Alex in favor of Denny as Meredith attempts to deal with the fallout from sleeping with George and Bailey attempts to circumvent maternity leave. My Thoughts: This one is more or less just a continuation of the last episode. So it is a pretty standard episode with nothing big happening in the hospital... and is putting the storyline more to the private lives of the patients.
