Clueless, a review by Dragonfire

Clueless

Still as smart and charming as ever, Clueless gets a fresh, sassy makeover for this new "Whatever!" Collector's Edition. Alicia Silverstone sparkles as Cher, the matchmaking 15-year-old Beverly Hills High schooler who has shopping and boys on her mind, but mostly shopping. Also starring Brittany Murphy as a dowdy transfer student, Jeremy Sisto as her potential mate and Paul Rudd as Cher's sensitive "Baldwin" step-brother, Clueless is back to capture the hearts of a whole new generation.

My Thoughts

I did get a review posted on Epinions a while ago if anyone wants to take a look.

Sole Survivor, a review by Jimmy

Title : Sole Survivor (1982)

Overview
Before there was FINAL DESTINATION, there was SOLE SURVIVOR, directed by Thom Eberhardt (NIGHT OF THE COMET), this chilling tale tells of a young woman who is the sole survivor of an airplane crash. Disregarding the warnings of a psychic friend. Denise tries to get on with her life, but she has somehow cheated Death, and the Grim Reaper sends his minions to bring her to him.

My Impression
The story in this one is interesting, this is about how you can't cheat death : sooner or later it will catch you. Except for that there is no real connection with Final Destination, but I understand easilly why Code Red play it strong on the cover and their publicity. I like the idea that the death use freshly dead peoples to try to take the survivor and not some over the top way to kill her. This movie is slow moving so don't expect an action festival, but if you want something original and not fill with tv actors of the month you will like this movie.

Whenever Keiichi leaves the house, Belldandy, Urd and Skuld shrink themselves to play with the other residents of the area - including their clueless rat sidekick, Gan. Whether it's a battle against Gan-zilla or adventures in kitchen appliance romances, the goddess adventures are dangerously funny!

Gan-chan: Although frequently the butt of the goddesses jokes and the victim of their mistakes, Gan the rat persists in his absolute devotion to Belldandy and never questions whether Urd and Skuld may be dangerous for his health

This is a spin-off/part of the "Ah My Goddess" franchise. I was already a fan of the OAV series and I think I already saw the new series, when I still had no desire to check this series out, thinking it would be childish. Luckily the first episode was a bonus feature on the Ah My Goddess movie DVD and I fell in love with this little series then. I soon bought the rest of the series. I think it's really hilarious.
Here is my review of the series in a whole.
