But in this movie she was very likable. Also this movie is finally again a romantic comedy similar to the classic "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" than most of the recent Bollywood movies that I have watched. My Thoughts: I first watched this one a few months back. I can't remember... either got it from the library or watched a friends copy or what it was. But I remember enjoying it. And the fact that Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) plays one of the sorority girls is a huge plus for me. And I am becoming a big fan of Anna Faris... he new TV Series Mom. Yesterday I got this blu-ray release and I just couldn't wait to watch it again. Sure there is a lot here that is awful silly... but even the first time I watch this film that is something I was expecting. I just find this to be a plain fun film. The blu-ray disc also has a lot of extras on it. Lots of deleted scenes and lots of featurettes as well as the other things listed above. Anyway... if you never seen this one I would say give it a chance. Just don't expect anything more then a fun, silly movie. My Rating: (From What Movies I Been Watching on February 11th, 2014) Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvdMalcolm in the Middle Pilot Malcolm introduces us to his world, dominated by omnipresent schoolyard bully Spath and made worse by his enforced friendship with Stevie, an asthmatic wheelchair genius. When a battery of tests reveals that Malcolm has an IQ of 165, he is moved into Stevie's special accelerated class, despite his protests that "around here being intelligent is exactly the same as being radioactive." On the bright side, Malcolm discovers a practical application for intelligence when he and Stevie spontaneously hit on a solution to Spath's persistent tyranny. My Thoughts: This is a fun comedy. Though I do think it is a bit out there with the dysfunctional family thing. Much like the next one I am about to watch. But it definitely has some laughs in it... and worth checking out. Unfortunately there was only the first season that was ever released. My Rating: (From Pete's Pilots on March 25th, 2010) |
