In the summer of 1979, a group of Detroit friends with $375,000 raised from local investors headed for a cabin outside of Morristown, Tennessee to make a film about five college students possessed by an ancient 'Book of the Dead.' The filmmakers' goal was to create 'The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror,' a movie so relentless that it would stand forever as a landmark in modern horror history. When it was released in 1982, it was immediately recognized worldwide as one of the most ferociously original horror films ever made. Twenty years later, this is THE EVIL DEAD like you've never seen or heard it before.
THE EVIL DEAD is now more grueling than ever, featuring newly restored state-of-the-art digitally remastered picture and sound, and loaded with incredible new extras, all personally supervised by director Sam Raimi.

This edition comes packaged in a replica of the original Book Of The Dead designed by Tom Sullivan. It features a sculpted 'fleshy' cover and pages of artwork produced exclusively for this edition. Also includes a special 24-Page "Bringing The Dead Home For Dinner" collector's booklet.

My Thoughts:
This is another movie I always liked. It is good for both it's gory horror and to a lesser extent it's comedic presence (Comedy much more prevalent in the sequels). While I did like all three of the Evil Dead movies... this first one remains my favorite of the bunch. The majority of the gore on this movie is more in an unrealistic fun way then anything else. But for what it is... it makes for an enjoyable viewing experience. Until watching this movie today... I completely forgot it wasn't until part 2 that Ash lost his hand. For some strange reason I was thinking that happened in this movie.

Rush Hour , a review by Dragonfire

Rush Hour My Thoughts I decided that I was in the mood to watch this one again.  I first saw it in the theater when it originally came out and I've watched it several times since then.  I've also enjoyed the sequels, though I think this one is the best.  The plot is entertaining and interesting even though it isn't that complicated.  Much of what happens isn't the most original, but I don't mind the predictability since things are interesting.  There is a decent amount of action to what is going on, a lot of it provided by Jackie Chan and the different fights he ends up in.  The fight scenes are done well and look really good.  There is a good amount of humor to what is happening as well.  The characters are interesting and entertaining.  I do like Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker together, though Tucker can get a bit annoying at times.  I definitely like Chan more. There are a lot of extras on the DVD.  There is a long featurette on the making of the movie that is very interesting and covers all sorts of things tied to the making of the movie.  It even shows Chan working out a stunt sequence. Overall, this is a well done, entertaining action comedy that is worth seeing. I got a review posted on Epinions a few years ago. Rush Hour

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. I really enjoyed every minute of this one. I especially enjoyed seeing the newly vamped Darla back together with Drusilla. I been meaning to mention Cordelia's new haircut for the past few episodes. I do not care much for it at all... shorter and darker. It just don't look right to me.
